Nevertheless, the film is worth watching to see 1960's New York City looking so clean and inviting, Audrey Hepburn's outfits, and -- above all --- George Peppard falling in love. Plus, after watching the film I couldn't get the song "Moon River" out of my head. I found out the lyrics are not so great but the music is very beautiful.
I wouldn't call "Breakfast at Tiffany's" a must-see film, but it wasn't bad.

Wait til the end
Then I rented it for myself. I had to see what this classic was all about. I was surprised at how racy it was. How wild the 60s gold diggers party was. How crass Peppard's patron was.
And then there were long moments of atmosphere, where I almost fell asleep and missed the whole point. Because when our heroine finds she must make a choice between remaining the way she is and taking a chance on love, it is anything but sentimentality.
Movies today are just not as smart as this one. June 8, 2008
A very well done movie.
Audrey Angel
Since then I have watched this dvd so many times.I'm not too shy to say I kiss the t.v. screen whenever I see her angel's face.
My favorite scene is where she gets out of bed and puts on a man's white shirt, her soft silky hair down her back.I wish it was one of my shirts she put on.
And I wish she had daughters who I could admire today.
Well, she's gone but man! I still love her and her movies, but this movie as Holly Golightly is my favorite.
There will never be another Audrey, with those angel's green eyes and that gentle, beautiful face.Of course her smile was another of her countless qualities.Last but not least her voice...which is just as I remembered as a kid, soft and beautiful singing that song with a little guitar on the fire escape.
The scene where they kiss in the pouring rain with a cat in between them is unforgettable.
When she sings "Moon River",it's like she's singing to a little baby.
I think her star is still lighting up the nights, because she was too good to be true and too impossible to ever forget.
