The Five Heartbeats

I had already had this movie, but was thrilled not only to get the movie but the soundtrack as well. Still one of the better musicals I have seen. It is a must have for any lover of black history on the group eras. August 1, 2008

It is still good entertainment.

I purchased the movie on DVD because I had it on VHS. It is entertaining and it took me back to the 1960's groups. It is definately one to collect. June 25, 2008

This dvd is one of my favorites. The video and audio quality was very good. I received this dvd in a timely manner considering I am currently working in Iraq. It took about 10 -14 days to get here. I was quite satisfied with the entire Amazon online experience, May 19, 2008

One of the best black themed musicals movies ever made

The Five Heartbeats is clearly one of the best black musicals ever made. The songs are catchy, it has heart and humor. Robert Townsend is clearly one of the most talnted black directors of our time and he proved it with this film. The strong performances from Leon,Towensend and the Oscar worthy Michael Wright make the film shine as bright as it did when released back in 1991. April 8, 2008
