Blood on the sand

ST. CLAIR DVD multi-packs are reasonably priced, and offer fine quality video/audio transfers of unrestored public domain material. Discs are single-side recorded, plastic storage cases fairly sturdy, movie liner notes appear on box's back cover and most DVDs include bonus items.

HIGHLIGHTS:

THE GIANT OF MARATHON-- A Greek soldier leads the fight against invading Persians during the Medic Wars.

GIANTS OF ROME-- Gladiators handpicked by Caesar himself are off on a secret suicide mission against the Druids.

THE GIANTS OF THESSALY-- Jason sails the Argo in search of the Golden Fleece (a winged ram).

THE REBEL GLADIATORS-- To spare his village from destruction, Ursus must arena fight the mightiest Roman

SPARTACUS AND THE TEN GLADIATORS-- Based on ancient lore. The Roman slave revolt begins with an uprising by Spartacus and several fellow slave-gladiators.

HISTORY AT THE MOVIES (also from St. Clair) includes another Spartacus film ("Sins of Rome"), plus "Constantine and the Cross," a story of the first Christian emperor.
