This video set brings back a flood of memories of the 1980s upbeat times. Its a piece of nostalgia you would'nt want to miss. This was one exciting time. It brings back some poignant memories (for example, Princess Di appearance at the inaugral and Freddy Mercury's incredibly powerful performance). The early 1980s was an incredibly creativite and upbeat time. Live Aid 1985 was at the pinnacle of those times.

Its too bad that the producers of this DVD set omitted 6 hours of concert time. Their ostensible reason was that the tapes were lost. Well they should have asked me, because I recorded much of it live over the air (I was in India at that time), and remember recording tracks like "You're the best thing" (the Style Council) which were omitted. I find it hard to believe the producers could not find the tapes. It seems some of the tracks were deliberately cut to make the distribution fit in 4 DVDs. July 23, 2008

Amazing !!!!!! The only negative for me was the Montreal audience wasn't as passionate as I would have been! A flawless performance from Queen for sure. Although the video quality of the Live Aid segment didn't match the Montreal concert ..... the sheer magic of the event and the response from the audience and "back stage guys" was extremely emotional for me. This DVD is the pride of my Blu-ray collection June 18, 2008

Very quickly...
You get a TON of music for the price when the singers were in their prime!!
The quality of the dvd is ok.
Convienence is not so much if you dont like all the bands.
There are a lot of parts of the dvd where the sound squeals because of the sound set up on stage not due to the dvd, which is annoying.

Overall, worth purchasing if you are an absolute fan of the 80's!! June 16, 2008

Absolutely outstanding! Queen at their best. Now all we need are concerts from earlier in their career ('74-"78) June 5, 2008

I'm eighteen years old, I've been to many impressive concerts, and I was absolutely amazed by the performance in Montreal. May 30, 2008
