This DVD is not worth having. I watched it once and that was it. It now is at the Goodwill store. I think George Harrison is a genius too. He is the Beatle that is usually not given enough credit. And we'd like to know more about him. This DVD however doesn't do a good job. For those that truly enjoy George Harrison your money will be much better spent on "A Concert for George" DVD and CD or the last album George Harrison put out "Brainwashed". These are brilliant! And you'll enjoy them again and again. December 9, 2005

George Harrison was a nonpareil musician and his work will remain timeless and relevant. This particular dvd is very disappointing because it just repeats what other documentaries have stated. You won't find any fresh or new material here and I was very displeased with the voice overs. I also didn't like the background music and found it annoying and distracting.

One announcer said "transcendent" instead of "transcendental" which is what they meant and called Jeff Lynne "Line." There is no excuse for that. The woman plainly did not do her homework and this did not make for an effective dvd.

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of the one it deserves is because it is about George Harrison. Even so, it is a leap of generosity to give it even one star.

Instead of this dvd, treat yourself to "Concert For George." You will be treated to a plethora of talent as artists such as George's son Dhani, former bandmates Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and many others pay homage to the youngest Beatle. Harrison, truly a musical purist honored his music muse and did not compromise his style for anyone. His lyrics remain outstanding and distinct to this day and will remain so for time immemorial.

This is an exploitation film at its worst. Seventy percent of it is a news story from British TV about George's interest in movies. And the rest seems to be from public sources also. There is very little about other aspects of George's life. The production values are horrible: volume goes up and down; they show the same 10 second clip of George walking to a court hearing three times over, the main narrator ( who is shown in these horrible eyebrow to chin closeups) is not even identified until the rolling credits at the end. I was lucky. I bought it locally and was allowed to return it for a refund. September 10, 2005

This DVD is a total waste of money. The background music will drive you crazy -- and obscure the interviews -- and the woman doing voice-over sounds as if she failed remedial reading. She says "transcendent" for transcendental meditation, and believes that the musician Jeff Lynne is Jeff Line. This is just a money-grabbing exercise with a hodge-podge of old British TV footage, three-quarters of which doesn't show George at all. No wonder it says "unauthorized" on the cover. Olivia must be losing her mind over exploitational material like this! PS. The system makes me give it a star -- it isn't worthy of one! August 22, 2005

There are a few interesting segments of this DVD. The material comes from British sources. So there is some footage I have not seen before. BUT, the producers have added a guitar based backing track that is irritating beyond belief. July 15, 2005
