In a fit of jealous rage, Clay shoots him dead. To avoid losing their freedom and each other, the couple decides to lie, claiming that Brianne shot the man by accident. However, the plan backfires and they both go to prison for life sentences. At first, Brianne believes that her love for her husband can prevail.
