I bough this collection because I heard such great things about the movie "Bullitt". After watching it for 45 minutes I just turned it off. The sound effects sound like they were recorded by a kid and are out of sync with the events, the action sequences are predictable, and the acting is some of the worst I have ever seen. I have no desire to watch any of the others in this collection. I'm a big fan of older films and this was disappointing to say the least. June 19, 2008

The videos themselves are good - no extra features really and no paper inserts for chapters, etc.
The sender, however, managed to send me a duplicate of one DVD and did not include another. After contacting them, they did send me the missing DVD. February 8, 2008

A very good box set for those wanting to start to get into McQueen's work. The only complaints are the lack of bonus features on most of the DVD's, but considering the age of the movies it is somewhat expected. And, if it was the "Essential" collection, I would like to think they would take out "Never So Few" and "Papillon" for "The Great Escape" and "The Magnificent Seven" or "Hell is for Heroes" or "The Sand Pebbles", but they have to leave those to his other box sets to sell them as well. Overall, it is a great package and will make you want to eventually buy the rest of the box sets. A definite buy for those wanting to learn more about "The King of Cool". December 31, 2007
