Appreciating the classics

A collection of mostly obscure(to me) movies, most of which are good quality, and quite entertaining. All are musicals, and some feature artists who were just starting out back then. A good number of the movies are black and white, but oddly , this does not diminish the enjoyment. A lot of bang for the buck! June 22, 2008

Not great quality, but very vheap

I have proposed to view one by one the 50 titles that form this collection. At the moment I already seen 8. The quality of the copies is not very good, but acceptable, though, for example, in case of Dixiana the copy is in black and white instead of the technicolor that appears in the credits. And another thing: it's Palooka a musical? I think not! May 26, 2008

Review of 50 Classic Musicals

The content is not as good as I thought it would be. The quality is very poor in some of the films. A lot of the films are "B" movies. The songs are pretty good and to see some of the older pictures of the later stars are fun to see. There are very few color movies the rest being B/W. Overall the price was acceptable but I wouldn't pay more. May 15, 2008
