| Nobody Does It Better |
This is a great comedy spaghetti western. Yes, the comedy is a bit hit and miss. Some of it's dead on while other parts are downright silly(I personally don't care for the sped up camera technique when Nobody slaps people around or draws his gun). Regardless of how funny you think the movie is, it's a very good story and a good movie all around. Fonda's wonderful as the aging gunfighter, almost as good as his villain role in Once Upon A Time In The West. Terence Hill, best known for the Trinity films(and don't forget Superfuzz!!), is kind of a comedic version of Franco Nero(he certainly looks like him). He's good with facial expressions and physical comedy, yet you can also buy him as a gunfighter. Sergio Leone produces and provided the story, and his presence is definitely felt even though he didn't direct. Morricone's excellent soundtrack solidifies this. If you dig the spaghetti westerns, don't pass this up. March 19, 2008

| Terence Hill Destroys The Film |
Maybe so, but if Henry Fonda wasn't in this feature I would not even have been able to sit through the film at all.
The film starts promisingly enough with Henry Fonda as a tough as nails but aging gunfighter. He's very slick.
But even he can't save this mess as Terence Hill plays a silly character nearly always grinning like the proverbial village idiot. Note he is even grinning on the DVD cover. As soon as the Hill character appears the movie goes downhill quickly.
Add in some ridiculous dialog and superman like invincibility and the Hill character is more cartoon than cowboy. It's too bad too because Fonda provides his usual excellent performance.
I never did figure out why 150 gunfighters on horseback were after the Fonda character nor did I ever figure out what desperate situation must have forced Fonda to agree to appear in this.
While some applaud the sound track in this film, I found it inappropriate and highly irritating. There are some really stupid and poorly done special effects during some gunfights.
The back cover refers to it as an "action comedy". It was neither!
I thought this was one of the worst westerns I had ever seen. But many love it. I can only say check it out for yourself, but you may be quite disappointed as I was.
