The Twilight Zone was still three years away when Rod Serling wrote Patterns (1956/83 min.), the prescient tale of Machiavellian maneuvering at a large corporation. Serlings later masterpieces harken back to many of these plot elements, including a well-placed twist at the end. A bonus short film, An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge (1962/28 min.), which aired as a Twilight Zone episode, is included.
