Barbra Streisand's best work is in this movie! Too much fun and watchable more then once.
May 17, 2008If you need to escape for a few hours, put in this DVD, sit back and enjoy. On a Clear Day will remind you why Barbra Streisand is a legend in her own time. There will never be anyone with the voice, the humor, the class, and the heart of Barbra as Daisy Gamble. She is absolutely super! Her version of the title song will stay with you long after you press the eject button. In this day of supposed musical divas (You can fill in the names here.), it is a pleasure to see a real musical diva at the top of her form! Thank goodness for Barbra Streisand (and Liza Minnelli) who keep good music alive for all of us.
February 29, 2008Hadn't seen this movie since I was a kid until now...seeing it again as an adult, I still loved the musical numbers and the colorful clash of 60s jaded realism with counterculture's fanaticism with mysticism. The--ahem--imaginative impressions of period Regency costume look almost laughably colorful and polyester compared to the more historically accurate period films that have come out in recent years, but overall, I still enjoy this movie. The DVD unfortunately has no special features, but it's hard to complain when a practically forgotten musical finally gets re-released.

this film is absolutely spiritual - and mind opening - everything is possible - just because you can see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist - and as always Barbra is phenomenal! The title song is a classic and might actually become a part of you - it has for me!
November 25, 2007This is a work of art from Barbra Streisand. It really shows off all of the elements that made her such a unique and multi-talented film star of that era. I can't think of any actress that is able to be as comedic as they can be sexy for the camera. It really is a lost art. So this film is a refreshing reminder of what we were once able to accomplish in film, and seek to achieve again someday. Why she won't put all of her musicals on DVD, I do not know! Where is Yentl?????
