About The Land Before Time XI - The Invasion of the Tinysauruses

The small-fry dinosaur friends are back for their ninth outing in this 77-minute movie, but this time they're not the littlest creatures in the Great Valley. A herd of miniature dinos is discovered when Little Foot tries to sneak some "tree sweets," but falls into the tree instead, knocking down all the blossoms. This gives the tiny herd easy access to the food, which they quickly devour and disappear. But instead of taking the blame, Little Foot inadvertently sends the prehistoric adults into a "get Frankenstein" kind of frenzy by blaming the little ones entirely for the loss of the harvest. The kids find the herd first, of course, and protect it from the adults until everyone settles down and accepts each other's differences. A subplot spotlights Cera and her adjustment to Dad dating Tria, a lady Triceratops friend from Dad's past come back to reignite old passions. (Ages 3 to 7)--Kimberly Heinrichs Amazon.com

This is a good Land Before Time show. Looked amazing on a BluRay player. Excellent sound, songs, and message. Would like to see better games/bonus features...this isn't a $5 movie, kids love simple games and these movies need to up the ante on bonus features. March 23, 2008

rating: 4 QuoteA good addition to the Land Before Time SeriesQuote
The movie has two basic plots to it: Littlefoot telling a little lie that ends up being a huge problem and cera having to learn to share her father with his old girlfriend. The time to eat a new sweet flower is upon the Great Valley and everyone is ready for a taste of the flowers. Littlefoot looking to sneak the first taste knocks down all the flowers off the tree where the Tinysauruses eat all the flowers. Instead of telling the truth, Littlefoot says the tinysauruses ate all the flowers (which they did...but wouldn't have if not for him knocking the flowers down) and leads to what some of the other reviewers complain about. All the adults get mad and forms groups to hunt down and chase off the innocent Tinysauruses. This does show what can happen in the real world when people are confronted with beings they don't understand. The one problem I did have with it was near the end when Cera's dad looked like he was so close to trampling the two main Tinysauruses. Thankfully everything works out in the end. Cera does find the strength to make an attempt to like her dad's girlfriend (which is good because she is a more permanent part of the crowd unlike the other friends that the gang meets each movie to only say goodbye...she is in movie twelve and the television series after all). At first, Cera gets too agressive about the name Tria calls Mr. Threehorn (Topsy) even going to the point of ramming Ducky up into a tree. I think that was a little too far because while Cera was always a stubborn one she never before would hurt any of her friends. May 9, 2007

This is the cutest film I have ever seen! The animation is beautiful, the songs are great and the little "long necks" are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!!!
The computer animated backgrounds are lovely and the characters are bright and colourful! I loved the songs "Dads and Girls" and "Creepy Crawlies" but the last one was horrible!
My favourite characters were the Little Longnecks like Skitter (SOOO CUTE!), Lizzie, Dusty, Rocky and of course, Big Daddy, who was adorable and so tiny!
I also like Tria, the new character who likes "Topsy" Cera's dad. Cera has to get used to her dad having a girlfriend but, just like all dads with girlfriends, he will always love Cera more then anything! Cera and Tria soon become good friends!
Sure to delight young children who love dinosaurs!!! Like my title says, ABSOLOUTELY ADORABLE!!!! March 26, 2006

I have to admit, after seeing the 8th one, the movies started to get BAD!!!!!!!

I do have to admit this was better then I expected it. Great animation, but a poor story line. Tria was pretty cool. I also thought that was cute when Cera and one of the other tiny dinos had stuff in common.

Some of those songs had to go! The only one I really liked was "Dads and Daughters". Cuz, you know what it has some truth to it. (I hope I'm not just speaking for myself!)

Ducky and Petrie were totally out of character, and Spike, was well, the same. I still like these guys, but the next one HAS to be better then this. March 4, 2006
