An eight hour DVD featuring Phil Collins' performance from Paris that formed part of the Final Farewell Tour. The 2-DVD set not only includes the live performances, but is also jam-packed with 22 promotional music video clips from the singles played during the concert. In fact-music videos from of his Billboard #1Singles are here: "Against All Odds," "One More Night," "Separate Lives," "Sussudio," "A Groovy Kind of Love," "Another Day in Paradise," and "Two Hearts." And if that isn't enough, the DVD also features backstage and documentary footage plus a photo gallery.

WORTH THE MONEY--LOTS OF CONTENT HERE

While this dvd is packed with extras, the concert is the only thing I have a problem with.
The performance is good, but not the best. His past concert videos display much better energy and rawness...
The problem is with the set list itself.
It's pretty much a "greatest hits" album done live..and didn't we have this in 1991 with his album "Serious hits live"??

I would have liked to have heard some lesser-played album cuts in the set like "thru these walls", "Inside out", "I cannot believe it's true", "Don't let him steal your heart away".
Why does Phil think people just want the obvious, over-played "HITS"?

(the same thing happened with the recent Genesis tour--too many hits--but that's another review..lol)

Ironically, the best thing on the entire DVD is the "wild card", which is a 20-minute SIZZLING performance of AWB's "Pick up the pieces" with 5 stellar sax players--PUTTING IT DOWN! as well as George Duke on piano..who churns out an amazing solo as well.

The dvd is worth it for this performance and the videos, but not so much for the concert.

Finally ... an excellent Concert DVD

This DVD-set is awesome. Ok, Phil is slowly getting old - but the music and the recording quality (both audio and video) are top notch. Believe me. I own several Concert DVD's from other bands. The audio quality on this one is unsurpassed. The song selection will please long time fans and those who are not. I totally recommend it

Against all odds...

This is what I want to have from every musician: To present a DVD that's worth the price and a must have in a collection.

Phil Collins and his band is more that amazing on stage. Having the lots of features that includes almost all songs original video is the best of this production.

If you really like to add something of great value to your collection do not hesitate to buy this. April 25, 2008
