Sarah Brightman - Live from Las Vegas (2004)

Recorded in March 2004 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas during Sarah Brightman’s Harem World Tour, this new live CD and DVD (sold separately) demonstrates the musical seductress’s penchant for fusing musical genres- musical theater, classical, rock and world music- and plays like a collection of greatest hits performed live. The DVD will be a double-disc containing the entire Las Vegas show on Disc 1 (approx. run time of 110 minutes). The show was filmed with 18 cameras and directed by world-renown David Mallet (projects include Cher, Celine Dion, Cirque du Soleil, and the Three Tenors). Disc 2 features more than 1 hour of bonus footage: The making of…, all access backstage footage, multiple angle views, photo gallery of 100+photos and an interactive Harem quiz with a special prize

A Entertaining Ride

This concert was very fun and entertaining. I never got bored. It is very colorful and full of excitment. The second disc was filled with bonus material and a quiz. The concert has 23 songs which are in order:

My personal favorite was "What A Wonderful World", because it was very pretty and fun to watch with Sarah on the swing and roses falling from the cieling. I highly recommend this video. May 12, 2008

Great DVD of Sarah Brightman!

I noticed several other reviews discussing the poor video quality of the DVD, but I didn't notice it on my DVD. The lighting effects sometimes make the video look distorted. I thought the video was well done, although there are a lot of distant shots of the show as menitoned by others, there are lots of close-ups also.

I like to see the audience reaction, so the distant shots were timely. I always like to sit further back at the Las Vegas shows myself to see it all. Since two different stages are used, I can see why the director used the distant shots.

The show and video were well choreographed and as always, Sarah shines with the spectacular stunts (swinging in the air) and her singing talents! They're not truly stunts, but they sure seem like it. One thing for sure, the audio engineer did a fantastic job. And last, her various songs are tops! She is one of the few sopranos who has a three octave range, besides being a popular crossover artist and quite the vivid and stunning performer, and also co-produces her own shows. I highly recommend the DVD. A bonus DVD gives takes on the pre-show and interviews by Sarah and her producer and director. February 12, 2008

It is magnificent show with magnificent Sarah Brightman performance.
The sound quality is great. The video quality has far to be great. With 18 cameras (as is advertised) sharpness of picture should be better. February 7, 2008

Superior

Sarah Brightman has excellent range and control of her voice, physically a very, beautiful woman and an inviting accent. She is highly unusual and gifted as an actress and looks to be a young lady in her twenties. January 7, 2008
