This said I must add that I loved this DVD because of the bonus material. It is long and VERY informative. I would have paid double the price just for this stuff. If at any time in your life you had to confess that you liked this movie then please buy this DVD set.
You will not regret it for a second.
Why then not 5 stars? Well,in my case, thoug audio quality is good, I think volume level is low and I had to adjust my TV volume control at very high level. May 3, 2008

Top Gun is one of THE best military movies!
Very good portrayal of life on an aircraft carrier, although not enough time actually on board. Graphics are crisp and clear. Too bad HD-DVD is no longer supported. Still one of the best military movies. April 28, 2008
Its Top Gun
Its early Cruise and Kilmer with fast planes in HD. It doesn't get much better than this. April 24, 2008
Top Gun
This is probably the best film every made about the navy. Navy pilots were brought to the forefront and characterized in this highly popular movie. There was a lot of dramatic license taken because a lot of scenes were far from being factual. That does not in any way take anything away from the enjoyment because it is highly entertaining and suspenseful. The soundtrack from this film is phenomenal, and is also a must buy. It is one you will never tire of watching time and time again.
