I've purchased Bonanza DVDs from a couple of different companies, and I strongly recommend this set. You'll get all 31 available episodes, four to a disc (three on volume eight). Other companies have crammed as many as NINE episodes onto a single one-sided disc; I've seen several of these that would not play. You won't have that problem with this set. Also, the faux theme music on this set is much less obnoxious than the other.
Until the studios release season sets for Bonanza, this is your best chance to enjoy these classic oaters. At the current price of $28.99 that's 94 cents per episode, quite an entertainment bargain. May 14, 2008

| Would have been 5 stars but... |
That wonderful theme music is missing both at the beginning & at the end - that cost this one star
BUT EVEN WORSE !!! ... (and costing another star)
The Platinum Video people must think it's OK to put their name and a logo in the bottom right of the screen. I DON'T !!!
I hate it on broadcast & cable TV and I wouldn't have bought this if I'd known about the logo.
Platinum Video in on my "no buy list" because of that logo policy. August 8, 2007
