Darn Good Movie
Amos Lassen
"Dog Gone Love" is a romantic comedy about a man, a woman and their dogs. Alexander Chaplin plays Steven Merritt, a research writer who is obsessed with his job and is mistakenly taken as a gay man by Rebecca (Lindsay Sloan), a veterinarian assistant. Steve plays along with being gay in order to get information for his novel that is going nowhere. His plan comes to no good as the two fall for each other and cannot express their true feelings. Some really funny things follow in the storyline and the movie is a lot of fun.
The plot is fluid and has some very cute moments and has several laughable schemes with both the dog actors (who are great) and the humans. The characters easily get missed up by situations. The principal actors are excellent and the dogs are as cute as can be.
