About Totally Confused

This gem of a romantic comedy plays like a hybrid of "Clerks" and Woody Allen. Johnny is a struggling rock and roller, living in Chicago where his best friend Wiley spends his time collecting porn magazines and wrestling with his sexuality. Johnny's life is looking up when his manager Murray tells him of an impending deal with a major label. Excited, Johnny moves his girlfriend Annie into his apartment and prepares to be a major rock star. Little by little however, Johnny begins to suspect that he "deal" is going nowhere. Having problems with his girlfriend and fearing for his professional career, Johnny's life gets even more complicated when Wiley puts the move son him. With engaging performances, tack sharp dialogue and shameless affection for slapstick, TOTALLY CONFUSED takes nothing seriously, least of all its characters sexual uncertainty. Product Description

I saw this movie several years ago and am glad to see it's finally out on DVD! I remember it being a funny and witty comedy with charming performances. I'm from Chicago and it was fun to pick out the neighborhoods and locations I knew. This will be a fun addition to your DVD collection! September 4, 2004

I saw this film several years ago at a screening in New York. I still remember its poignant portrayal of Chicago in the mid 1990s, of unrequited love, and of the absurdity of the lives of its two protagonists. Mr. Rosen and Pritikin are also extraordinary physical comedians. This is a gem you won't want to miss. August 30, 2004

I first saw this movie at the Chicago Film Festival and it was great. Really original, funny and smart. Co-writers, co-directors and co-stars? these guys are bright, shimmering stars in the cinema firmament. Now that it's on dvd I can enjoy it all the time. Highly recommended! August 28, 2004
