Come to think of it, I didn't find any editing issues with this movie like I would find with most Bollywood movies. MAybe, the last bit of stretching the ending could have been done away with. But old habits are hard to die in Bollywood I guess.
I loved the interaction between the protagonists. This is not just eye candy and overly and cloyingly emotional hyper drive you find in Bollywood movies. You know the ones where they manipulate you to squeeze tears out of you. None of that BS.
Job well done!

| Hum Tum (You and Me) We didn't see eye to eye!! |
I have seen a handful of Bollywood movies and am trying to further my collection of movies I have seen and own! When I first came across Hum Tum it was for a school project for which I had chosen to do a segment on Bollywood and was looking for some songs when I stumbled upon Gore Gore, an incredibly good song, and hoping the movie followed in its footsteps I purchased it, along with Jab We Met and Kuch Naa Kaho!!! Hum Tum I viewed last and after following these truly funny and adorable movies Hum Tum came up short!!! I don't know what really rubbed me the wrong way, was it the weird cartoon characters Hum and Tum, was it the incredibly ugly haircuts of Karan (played by Saif Ali Khan), or was it the predictable and at times, yawn, boring parts. I have to attest when I told my friend about my purchases she feared I wouldn't like either Kuch or Hum but where Hum Tum fufilled the premonitions, Kuch Naa Kaho did not, maybe because although predictable, Abhishek and Aish did amazing performances and really had me falling in love right along side them! Don't get me wrong every one has their own taste in movies, and you might thoroughly enjoy Hum Tum, but if I was you, save the money and purchase two incredibly better movies: Jab We Met and Kuch Naa Kaho!!! I mean Jab has Shahid need I say more :-)! July 13, 2008
