VERY GOOD SUSPENSE THRILLER!
The story centers on a man about to be executed in the state of Utah for child killing. The state believes that they have the killer, and even though agent Broderick does not think he is the killer, the state is going to proceed anyway. After the execution, evidence is brought to light that the man may have been innocent. Agent Broderick, who along with his son Jesse, (Cameron-Glickenhaus) a computer-whiz and extremely intelligent boy set out to find the killer. Now this part is a little implausible, but if you watch the film, you can see how this bright young boy could do what he does [A little suspension of disbelief may be required]
The point is, they find out who is doing the killings. At least the boy does. And this killer is demented and is building an Ark in the mountains of Mount Zion National Park in which to await the next flood. The killer is sociopathic and homicidal to the nth degree. He once belonged to a fringe religious cult, and decided to leave it in order to build his Ark, an collect children and animals to place in this Ark. It is really sickening to what extremes he goes through. In his mind, he must collect everything as Noah did, or the flood will not occur. Hence the child-killings. But they must be the right children. It is very bizarre and disturbing--I have never seen a film quite like this before. [Stars: 4.5] October 2, 2006
From the inside out
A chilling thriller
Scott Glenn is superb as the detective and his character son, 11 year old Jessie, is impressive.
This story can be non fictional. There's a lot of demented people out there today.
This maniac that they are pursuing is so twisted. He is a monster. The things he does is horrifying. And the ending is a shocker. This film is becoming hard to find. Get it before it's too late. April 6, 2004
