Disc 1: Great People of the Bible: Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob & Joseph - Follow the inspiring story of the Bible’s first family through four generations. Abraham was the founder of the Jewish nation, while Sarah was a mother to his large family and the community. Isaac was the miracle child born to Sarah and the first descendant in fulfillment of God’s promise. Jacob served as father of the 12 tribes of Israel, and his son Joseph rose dramatically from slave to ruler with his personal integrity and spiritual sensitivity.

This program examines and reveals the power of this simple prayer, combining beautiful scenes from the Holy Land with in-depth interviews with leading Biblical scholars from various religious backgrounds. See how the power and blessing of this simple prayer can make a difference in your life. Extra Features: The Song of Jabez, Song of the Holy Land

Ben Kingsley narrates the story of how Paul preached for Christ throughout the Roman Empire. Extra Feature: First Martyrs in Rome - Telling the story of four martyrs – Clement, Cecilia, Apollonius, and Agnes – living in polytheistic Rome. Each made the ultimate sacrifice rather than deny their faith in Christ. Includes the places where many of the events occurred and can still be visited today. Narrated by Joseph Campanella.

Disc 4: Mary of Nazareth - This feature-length film traces the life of Mary in her many roles – as mother of Jesus, wife of Joseph, and inspiration to all. Watch from Mary’s unique perspective as Jesus touches, heals, and ministers, only to be later betrayed and ultimately crucified by the very people He came to save! The life of Mary is beautifully and dramatically told, featuring a cast of 110 actors and 8,500 extras, with nothing left out from the Gospels.

Follow Him to Nazareth where He matures and proclaims His deity to Mary and Joseph. Experience His unique relationship with God, His Father. Be there as Jesus is baptized in Jordan. Extra Feature: Map of the Galilee, 5.1 Surround Sound

Follow His trial before Pontius Pilate who washed his hands saying, "I am innocent of this man’s blood." Finally, you’ll witness the crucifixion of Jesus at a place called "The Skull." Hear His last words, "Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit." Then on the third day his tomb was found empty. "He is Risen." He promised His disciples and all those who would believe, "I am the resurrection and the Life." rating: 5 QuoteFantastic !!! Entertaining and accurate! Quote
I enjoyed this dvd so much that I'd like to know if there are any other books of the Bible directed in the same manner??? In my opinion, these stories were presented very well! I particularly liked the way the bible scriptures (verses), were directly woven into the storylines. Very nicely done! June 13, 2008

rating: 5 QuoteBy Far the Best for a True BelieverQuote
This is by far the best video depiction of the Book of Genesis.

I don't know where the other reviewer gets his information about Moses being in this video. As I remember it, this video covers the Book of Genesis, not Exodus.

Sticks faithfully to the biblical text, which is why this one is so hard to find. (The establishment is no friend of the Bible.)

Topol's portrayal of Abraham can't be beat! March 30, 2008

rating: 4 QuoteAn essential addition to your video library!Quote
When I first seen this video I was expecting more of the same old 1960's style bible movies. I was wrong. This seemed to be more accurate than past videos. I enjoyed it very much! The only reason that I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is there were a couple spots that were a little off and a couple ommisions. I was very tempted to give it 5 stars. Moses in real life had a speach impediment and Arron done all the talking for him, this movie (like past movies) still had Moses doing most of the talking. Little things like that effected my rating. But those types of things were few and far between and easily spotted. The important areas seemed to be accurate and very entertaining of course. I highly recommend it! November 19, 2000
