I was absolutely mad about this show and was thrilled to find it on DVD. Then the very kind seller in the UK contacted me to say it was in Region 2 format and I live in Region 1. So we canceled the order and my quest has continued. This show is so full of life with all its surprises, joys and sadness. The casting was superb and the venue was gorgeous. How does one encourage those in control to release this on to a Region 1 format? Amazon allows one to "standby" when a film is only on VHS and development into DVD is uncertain. The idea being to demonstrate that there are many who would like to see that particular film in that format. I have already had success with 2 such items. Can we not do the same with our requests to obtain a Region 1 version of this lovely show? HELP!!! April 20, 2008

Love it, want it in US

I watched this series 3 times through on PBS and want the DVD BADLY. I wish it was available here. Very well done series. November 27, 2007

Region 1 format ....please

I have seen this show on TV and loved it. I am so disapponted we cannot by a Region 1 version for viewing in the USA. I would order the entire series if it was available. August 26, 2007

We need this on Region 1 DVD now!

I saw this on a PBS station a few years ago. I have been hoping that PBS would show it again but no such luck. It is a shame that it is not available on Region 1 DVD's. It is an extremely good show with interesting people and story. March 23, 2007
