What's not to like?

This concert is Barbra at her best. She looks great and sounds even better. The show is well staged and the music selections are all the favorites, you remember from Barbra. September 9, 2008

A MIND BLOWING EXPERIENCE that ENDED IN TEARS FOR US.

I bought this Concert DVD of Barbara Striesand: after reading all the superb reviews posted on the Amazon product page.

When it arrived it was very well packaged and undamaged: which is always the worry when ordering items, I suppose most folks think as I do, the Postal services are not very concerned about these products in their system.... so its hit and miss in some cases AS I have had items that never show up I am sad to say.

On the evening of receiving this DVD: we sat down to watch this Concert, which opened up in tremendous fashion : from its Titles to its Celebrity
guests in the Audience... It makes one think why go and pay astronomical
seat prices, and watch it in some Auditorium on a big screen: when you can sit in your favourite armchair: 3 feet away from Barbara Striesand, as on reflection: thats what you are getting in all reality.

The first 1 hour act as the discription on the DVD informed us was beyond words of praisable discription... mind blowing excitment, and tremendous entertainment is my discription of this.

After the interval, the 2nd half commenced and ran for 4 minutes: then disaster struck : as my viewing screen FROZE for no apparent reason.
I spent best part of 30 minutes endeavouring to get transmission again : but the DVD would not play.... so we gave up on it: very dissapointed to say the least ! ! !

The following Morning I E. mailed the company inetvideo.com who are based in Canada.
To politly inform them of my experience: and almost instantly I received a very concerned apology from them.... they where sincerely very concerned at my dissapointment: and the un-fortunate up=shod of my tale: is they had not got a replacement to send out to us.

My full total outlay was refunded to us instantly !!! with another apology letter: and I think they handled the matter very courteously in my opinion.. they did not require me to forward the faulty item back either.

I realise they are only the product distributors anyhow : so I had no axe to grind .

I still rate this as top of the range entertainment irrespective of my experience ..... Its 5 Star quality entertainment. August 22, 2008

Phenomenal

Absolutely amazing. I can't stop watching it. Ms Streisand is perfection and out of this world. It's a Godly experience. Thank you Barbra for making us feel heavenly. August 14, 2008

Barbra Live & Lovin It

Anytime Barbra Streisand is Live it is a gift, as her stage fright is legendary (I remember her Los Angeles Forum concert in 1972) Listening to her live, on a live recording or on a studio recording is soooo pleasurable, as she has one of the greatest voices in music. She can be proud of her voice (and proud of her friend Hillary Clinton, who in the 2008 Presidential Primary race received more votes than any of her rivals, and more votes than any other Presidential Primary candidate in the history of the United States) August 6, 2008

Loved Barbra, didn't love the DVD quality

For all those complaining that they didn't get the same songs as was on the CD or VHS...umm...you still have the CD and VHS don't you? Watch those. Yes, they should have included both versions of the concert on this DVD but they didn't. It still isn't something you need to get so worked up over.

That being said, I highly enjoyed watching this as I had watched the other version hundreds of times and practically memorized the entire thing. So it was great to see the differences and some of the songs that weren't on the VHS or CD like "Guilty." I also loved the mistake she made in "Evergreen." It made her human.

What I didn't like was the quality of the DVD. The picture quality was often grainy and the sound was kinda bad. If you want it loud, the sound distorts every time Barbra hits her big notes. Which is horrible because, if you're a Barbra fan, you live for those notes. And I know it was a problem with the concert DVD translation because when I played the bonus features of songs from other performances, I didn't have the same problem.

Is it too much to ask to have this put on Blu-Ray with improved visuals and sound? And put the other version of the concert on it as well?
