If you have a child that loves horses this is a good gift for them. My 8 yr. old daughter loves horses but I was running out of "horse" gifts to get her. Mister Ed was a perfect addition to her horse things. December 29, 2007

Mr. Ed is a great classic comedy show from the early to mid 1960's. I barely remember seeing it as a small child so thought I'd bite and watch it as a now very mature adult. It's better than ever! I love the show but have two gripes. One is that they did not include ALL the episodes, such as all of season one. Instead there are a lot of episodes missing that it looks like we will never get to see. The second gripe is that someone needs to watch their quality control at the DVD pressing plant. I had to return the first factory sealed set because the factory scratched the DVDs, got fingerprints and goop all over them, and they wouldn't play as a result. I had to make a claim and get a refund, about a 3 week process, then buy the set again to get a copy that worked. It still had fingerprints fresh from the factory but at least it played. Seems they had a real slob working there pressing these DVDs. December 14, 2007

The reproduction in the DVD is surprisingly good. The sound and picture quality are both excellent. The actual episodes themselves are of course old fashioned, simple and light, but listening to Ed's voice and the fun of it all brought back many wonderful memories of the sixties. Episode 2, the one in which Ed composes a song, is particularly entertaining. Overall, this DVD is very good value. August 12, 2007

I didn't watch too many episodes of Mister Ed when I was little, and I didn't know what I was missing! This is a breath of fresh air compared to all the reality shows of today, with imagination, character and plain old silly fun. (We aren't supposed to have silly fun anymore you know).

The relationship between Wilbur and Ed shows a bond many of us lack in our lives today, and hits home with animal lovers who consider their pets family. The first episode on this DVD is one of the best, where Wilbur can't believe a horse came with his new house. His wife Carol, on the other hand, is not as ecstatic, and the show Ed puts on when the horse dealer arrives is a classic. Ed, The Songwriter is very clever, and the Zsa Zsa episode hilarious. Another charmer is when Mister Ed gets a cold and decides the only cure is his own bed!

I still have not seen the second DVD, I want to prolong the fun! If you love horses, and would love to have a secret you only share with your best friend, this is for you. August 9, 2007
