I am a major Law and Order Criminal Intent fan. I love the original cast they all play off each other superbly. The two original leads are the best on all Law and Order shows even though the female lead on SVU is also the best.

Simple put, this is an amazing series. I never got caught up in the original Law and Order but Law and Order: Criminal Intent hits the bullseye for a variety of reasons. First, Goren is an amazing mix of a compassionate Sherlock Holmes and a stoic James Bond with a flare for all but breaking the rules to catch criminals but not being burdened with any significant vices. Goren doesn't smoke or drink to excess and has no romantic relationships outside of work that viewers are aware of from what I have seen. Eames is the cynical and skeptical partner who is often wary of Goren's methods. She is not in awe of his extensive knowledge of languages and criminal psychology but she is more than willing to follow his unrelenting bloodhound tendencies when he catches a scent. I'm having a ball watching this series develop and Dick Wolf is a genius. I highly recommend this series for anyone tired of the 'Walker, Texas Ranger' style of law enforcement and wanting to see something far more down to earth.

June 15, 2008I have not been this satisfied with a cop show in a long time. Law and Order the original was such a good show and kept my attention, with CI coming on board, Law and Order is even better. I have to say that CI is my favorite and I hope that it's on TV for a long time to come. The acting is great by Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, really a grat show.
May 25, 2007This was actually the second DVD I'd purchased of the same show, same year. That's because my son and daughter-in-law, also addicted to the program, had borrowed my copy and were reluctant to give it back. This 1st year DVD collection is especially fine because it features lots of extras --interviews with all the principal actors and the director and the writer. Trust me --you can't go wrong if you are a serious "Bobby and Alex" fan!
