About Mascara
Linda Kandel's MASCARA is a character study of three female friends approaching 30 and struggling to deal with the men in their lives. Rebecca (Ione Skye) seems happy in her relationship with a middle-aged photographer (the Sex Pistols' Steve Jones) until she notices his unhealthy attachment to his sexy teenage daughter. Laura (Lumi Cavazos) is a newlywed who discovers that her husband (Steve Schub) has racked up a mountain of credit card debt in the seven months since their wedding. And Jennifer (Amanda de Cadenet) is unhappily married to a successful attorney (Barry del Sherman) whose emotional distance prompts her toward alcohol and a series of vengeful affairs.
