About There Goes My Baby

Dermot Mulroney, Rick Schroder and Noah Wyle take you on a funny and heartening trip back to the turbulent sixties in this riveting, infectious comic drama (Variety) that effectively blendsnostalgia and political awareness (Leonard Maltin). It's the final few days of Pop's Paradiseahamburger joint that's been a second home to Westwood High's senior classand a group of friends must face the biggest decisions of their lives. There's Stick (Schroder), a surfer headed for Vietnam, Pirate (Mulroney), who wants to discover America along Route 66, and Michael (Wyle), whose political activism may destroy his Harvard-bound future. Little do any of them realize that their final carefree days will also mark the end of theirand all of America'sinnocence.

For an European it's not always easy to know what the American schoollife is like. This movie shows some important sixties-things. My rate's 3 stars because the real age of the players makes some scenes lesser convincing. September 16, 2005

I first watched this movie a couple of years ago and automatically it became my all-time favorite movie. It made me cry, laugh, everything. I have watched this movie over and over again, and have not become tired of it yet. I know practically every word in it, and the music is awsome aswell. I have nothing negative to say about this movie. Its a good feeling film that helps us understand what it was like in that generation, in our parents generation. I would recommend this movie to anyone. It's quite a chick flick, no lie, but i think everyone could relate to it in some way or another. January 12, 2004

I love this movie so much! I first saw it on Showtime on TV and I fell in love with it. I would look every single day to see if it was on, and ofcourse, they only put it on once every month! This is an amazing movie that really captures what it's like to graduate from high school and not know what to do. It really shows the power that teenagers can have in this world. It's an incradible movie and everyone should watch it! September 15, 2003

This is the best movie I ever seen. I love Noah Wyle and his work. Noah is very good in this movie. It is humerous and enjoyable. I wish I had the nerve to do half the things they did in this video. It really states how it was back in the vietnam era.

I saw There Goes My Baby when it was in the theatres, and while I saw that there were some similarities between it and "Hollywood Knights" I don't think it was a blatant rip off... Floyd Mutrux wrote and directed both movies so there are bound to be some similar aspects. That's like hating Pulp Fiction because it had a similar feel to Reservoir Dogs.

I may be a bit biased because I love the "one day in the life" type of movies (ie Dazed and Confused) I thought it was a heartwarming and fun movie and it has a permanent place on my shelf next to the VCR. April 1, 2002
