WWE Unforgiven 2003
After watching Unforgiven, I have mixed emotions about this edition. Some of the matches are top notch; others are horrendous. I love the theme song, which is Enemy by Sevendust. The DVD had no extras to talk of. The event itself probably is not worth buying, but you might want to check it out for a few select matches.
Handicap Table Match
World Tag Team Championships
Dudley Boyz VS La Resistance(c) & Rob Conway
The set-up to this match was that all members of the team had to be put through a table before a winner could be declared. Members could stay in the match until it was over though. The match itself was average, but the table spots are nice. Conway takes a brutal spot, being thrown over the ropes through a table.

Winner Gets Stacy Keibler's Services
Test VS Scott Steiner
I actually enjoyed the story moving into this match. The highlight video before the match really got me into the match. The match itself is not much though. Stacy want Steiner to win, and eventually interferes in the match. You probably will not watch this more than once.
RATING- 6/10
Randy Orton VS Shawn Michaels
We have just reached the first awesome match of the evening. This is one of Orton's first Legend VS Legend Killer matches. There is a lot of good wrestling, and HBK hits a huge cross body splash to the outside. The ending is weird and I feel it hurt the match a lot.
RATING- 8.5/10
Gal Kim & Molly Holly VS Lita & Trish
This is Gail Kim's first PPV match. This is also Lita's first PPV match back after spinal surgery. This was a solid encounter, but the crowd does not seem that into it. Lita puts on a good performance.
RATING- 5/10
Last Man Standing Match (Match of the DVD)
Kane VS Shane McMahon
Insane. That is the only word that can describe this match. Actually, I lied. Let me give you a few more words. The match has a very slow pace to it, and at the beginning does not seem that great. The match picks up over time and becomes a match full of sick spots. Shane hits a glorious Coast to Coast into steel steps. The ending features Shane falling thirty-five feet.
RATING- 9/10
Intercontinental Championship
Y2J VS Christian(c) VS Rob Van Dam
I thought that this was another well-put together match. The problem was that the crowd did not care much after the previous match. There is a ton of highflying maneuvers, and some solid wrestling. Most of the match is fought between two men, instead of three. There is a huge Tower of Doom spot.
RATING- 7/10
Winners Commentates Raw
Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler VS Coach & Al Snow
There is no commentary for this match, and the crowd is dead again. You can hear echoes every now and then. The match is primarily fought between Lawler and Snow, but Coach gets a good amount of ring time. Jim Ross only gets in the ring at the end. It brought a smile to my face to see that he was enjoying himself. Jericho makes an appearance toward the end.
RATING- 3/10
World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H(c) VS Goldberg
As far as Main Event matches go, this sucked. It was fun to see Triple H finally dethroned, but it was the wrong man to do it. Triple H works on the legs of Goldberg, because Goldberg is lethal when he is standing. The match is short as well.

Dudley Boyz vs. La Resistance and Rob Conway
Originally this match was supposed to be a six man tag team tables match. But a couple weeks earlier Spike Dudley suffered an injured neck. Bishoff then made it a handicap match. And Austin made for the tag team titles. All around this was a great way to start the PPV off. You got to see a lot of Tables, and the crowd really got into it. The Dudley's would prevail and become the new World Tag Team Champions. 7.5/10
Scott Steiner vs. Test
Was not a good match. Test is a very athletic man. And Steiner is horrible, he has all those muscles and can barley give a cruiserweight a tiger bomb. Test would win and keep Stacey Keibler, and Stiener would become Test Property. 4.5/10
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton
Great match this help make Orton a true legend killer. He and Michaels did an amazing job of showing how to wrestle. But the ending I did not like. Orton got the Sweet Chin Music and was close to the ropes. Michaels got the 3 but it was overturned because Flair put Orton's foot on the bottom rope. Flair also gave him Brace Knucks. Orton hit HBK about 5 times with them while the referee had his back turned. Orton would pick up the victory. 7.5/10
Last Man Standing Match
Shane McMahon vs. Kane
Great Match if you love brutality. It started off with Shane beating the crape out of Kane with a Steel Chair. There were Many big Spots in this match. Including Coast to Coast to Kane. But the bigger man would win and that was Kane. Shane tried to drop an elbow onto Kane from the top of the titan-tron. Kane would move out of the way and Shane would fall all the way through the stage. 8.5/10
Triple Threat Mach for the Intercontinental Championship
Christian vs. Chris Jericho vs. Rob Van Dam
Great match but the crowd couldn,t get into it after what happened to Shane. The match ran for about 12 to 15 minutes. Christian would retian the title after rolling up RVD. 8/10
J.R. and Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Al Snow and Johnathan Coachman
Of Course this match was horrible you have 4 of the most untalented guys all wrestlinf in the ring. Only good moment was when Jericho interfered and drop kicked Jim Ross in the back of the head. But the winners of this match would be the broadcast team on RAW and that would be Al Snow and The Coach. 1/10
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Triple H vs. Goldberg
It was a good match not great. If Goldberg lost this match he would have to retire. And Triple H could lose his title if he got counted out or disqualified. Triple H would hit Goldberg in the jaw with his sledge hammer. But it didn't have any effect. Goldberg would Spear and Jackhemmer Triple H to win the gold for the 1st tome in WWE. 7.5/10 August 15, 2008
| Game over! |
La Resistance @ Rob Conway VS Dudley Boyz in a Table Match: I remember this feud. I remeber not caring about it.
Test VS Scott Steiner: Two of the biggest a-holes in wrestling go at it. Steiner was a babyface at the time and again, I didnt care for either men or the feud.
Molly Holly @ Gail Kim VS Trish Stratus @ Lita: All four women can wrestle. Too bad I dont care for women's wrestling.
Randy Orton VS Shawn Michaels: Ah finally, a good match to watch. I hated the ending though.
Kane VS Shane O'Mac: Very good match. Lasted almost a half hour and its always fun to see Shane O'Mac in a hardcore match because you know something awesome is going happen.
Christian VS RVD VS Chris Jericho: Very good match. I didnt like the ending too much but it does suit Christian well.
Coach and Al Snow VS Jerry Lawler and JR: Dumb match. I dont remember how JR and King got the announcing dutys back but I could careless.
Triple H VS Goldberg: I hated Goldberg in WCW but liked him in WWE, probably because he beat Triple H for the title. If Goldberg lost he'd have to leave wrestling forever and you knew Goldberg was going win the title anyways. Very good match though and the ending was awesome.
Overall, it was a weak card. Raw doesnt have talent like Smackdown had at the time and you could tell with the matches presented. The first three were bad and the rest were good. Great to see Goldberg win the title.
