This movie scared me so much that I had to sleep with the light on. The story is excellent from beginning to end and moves so fast that there was no time to take a breath.
The clowns are beyond creepy. What awesome cinematography and direction. The acting is great too. This is by far one of the best horror movies ever made. May 1, 2008

This is another great horror product of the 80's. This story hits home with me due to my home town being terrorized by a serial killer who dressed up as a clown during the late 80's. Maybe that's why I'm attacted to it, either way it's still a great movie. The acting done by the three brothers is exactly what you would expect from three real brothers of the same age. Another perfect example of how incredibly simple a well made horror movie can be and still be brilliant. This is one of the best. The DVD was originally very hard to find, but very much worth it. This movie was horrible. The dialogue was just awful. The acting was really horrible which suprised me because Sam Rockwell was in it. It was so bad that I actually thought that maybe they had dubbed somebody elses voice in for Rockwell. The movie was not scarey at all. I could see it being more of a movie for little kids. I appreciate that it wasn't a blood and guts slasher movie that was prevelant at the time. But it wasn't even scarey from a suspense angle either. And it was lit like some neon 80's music video. I had seen a brief clip of this movie when it first came out on VHS a long time ago and remembered it. Then I read about the directors legal problems and his being arrested for molesting the child star of the movie and convicted. So I thought I would check it out. It is pretty expensive even on VHS but I got a copy for a reasonable price. I wish I had my money back. January 16, 2008
