rating: 5 Touching.
Mask is a deeply moving but has an edge to it as well. Cher is fantastic and Eric Stoltz is unrecognizable as Rocky. Sam Elliott is nice eye candy, just thought I'd include that little opinion, lol. Mask is hard to watch, this film is based on a true story so that's why the story is heartbreaking. I highly recommend this gorgeous and important film, enjoy! April 28, 2008

rating: 5 Best movie of all time....stick to the original version
Mask is my all time favorite movie. It is beautiful, touching, just phenomenal. I very much prefer the original version over the more currently released version. The music in the original (although not what Bogdanovich had in mind while writing it) is superior to the Bruce Springstein soundtrack on the new one. I gotta love the Bob Seger, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Grateful Dead in the original. Perhaps I'm a Mask purist. Perhaps I'm just a classic rock lover at heart. I think I am both and that's why I love the original and the new release feels like an imposter. There is no room for the boss in this film in my opinion. February 7, 2008
