About WWE WrestleMania XIX
Whether WrestleMania XIX goes down as the best WrestleMania ever will be for historians to decide, but the 2003 battle in Seattle certainly was notable for two of the biggest grudge matches to hit the WWE in many a moon. Billed as "20 years in the making," WWE mogul Mr. McMahon tried to put an end to Hulkamania in a street fight against the legenday Hogan. Despite all the accolades, the championship belts, and the movie career, one thing the Rock had never done is beat prodigal son Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania, and he was ready to pull out all the stops--including an unprecedented three Rock Bottoms--to do it. For all the hype, however, don't ignore the other events of the evening. For example, there was the actual WWE Championship to be decided, and Kurt Angle tried to prove he doesn't suck by taking on Brock Lesnar, and the loser headed straight from the ring to the hospital. There was a surprise ending in the World Heavyweight Championship Match between Triple H and Booker T, and the technically superb Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho match turned out to be the best of the night. Throw in Limp Bizkit, the Miller Lite catfight girls, and tons of bonus features, and you've got a six-hour extravaganza for the ages. --David Horiuchi Amazon.com

Matt Hardy VS Rey Mysterio: Short but a good match.
Undertaker VS A-Train and Big Show: Not a bad match but it wasnt his best match. Notice how Undertaker might be 15-0 at WrestleMaina but he has beat some really bad wrestlers.
Victoria VS Trish Stratus VS Jazz: Dont care
Team Angle VS Los Guerreros VS Chris Benoit & Rhyno: A very good tag team match.
Shawn Michaels VS Chris Jericho: Loved the story going into the match and the match really delivered the goods. One of the best WrestleMaina matches in terms of wrestling go.
Limp Bizkit Concert: BIG MISTAKE
Triple H VS Booker: Its amazing how many careers were ruined by Triple H in 2003. Although Booker and RVD would go on to obtain world title gold a few years later, I still hated how Triple H refused to put talent over.
Vince McMahon VS Hulk Hogan: Two of the best showman on the planet. A very entertaining match with a surprise finish.
The Rock VS Stone Cold: Third times a charm? Both men would soon depart WWE. Rock hasnt come back and Stone Cold makes appearences on and off.
Kurt Angle VS Brock Lesnar: Im glad Smackdown got the main event. Two of the best atheletes in WWE history but on an amazing show. Too bad neither man is still with the company.
A very good WrestleMaina with Smackdown once again showing Raw what wrestling was all about. Too bad Raw never took notice or fans for that matter.

Wrestlemania XIX
This event was amazing from top to bottom. The staging and extremely long ramp are cool. This is probably one of the best Wrestlemania's you could buy. It was almost perfect. Buy this as soon as you can.
Disc 1
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Matt Hardy(c) w/Shannon Moore VS Rey Mysterio
Great Opener. This match gets you excited for the rest of the event. There is a lot of highflying action including: corkscrew moonsaults, Splash Mountain Bombs to Hurricanrunnas, and much more. This is one of the best openers I've ever seen.
RATING-9/10
Betweens these two matches, Limp Bizkit performs "Rollin".
Handicap Match
Undertaker VS Big Show & A-Train
This match was originally a tag match that consisted of Undertaker teaming with Nathan Jones. Nathan Jones was attacked by Show and A-Train (with the help of Nunzio) and could not compete in the event. The match is pretty solid which I honestly didn't expect. Nathan Jones makes an appearance near the end and deals out a nice spin kick.
RATING-7/10
Triple-Threat- Women's Championship
Victoria(c) w/ Steven Richards VS Trish Stratus VS Jazz
There aren't really a lot of really good women's matches in WWE. This match is awesome though. Victoria does a cool moonsault. Jazz uses her power to control most of the match. The ending seemed a little weak though.
RATING-8.5/10
Triple-Threat Tag- WWE Tag Team Championship
Team Angle(c) VS Los Guerreros VS Rhyno & Benoit
Benoit returns to Wrestlemania after WWE WrestleMania X8 due to a broken neck. This is a solid match-up and keeps the action going well.
RATING-8/10
Shawn Michaels VS Chris Jericho
I might get a lot of hate for saying this, but this match is over rated constantly. It was a great match with a great storyline. The match wasn't that amazing though. I enjoyed it and I know everyone else will enjoy it, but don't get sucked into the hype machine or you will be let down. Still, the story is amazing and the match is great. It is just not a perfect 10.
RATING-9/10
Limp Bizkit performs "Crack Addict" between these two matches.
Pillow Fight
Catfight Girls VS Stacy Keibler VS Torrie Wilson
Somewhat funny but really not much here. No rating because it's not much of a match.
World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H(c) VS Booker T
I love this match. Triple H and Booker T use every move in their arsenal, even using some new moves. Triple H works over Booker's leg most of the match and Booker sells it very well. This match is very well done and you will love it.
RATING-9/10
Street Fight- 20 Years in the Making
Hulk Hogan VS Vince McMahon
This isn't the best street fight ever, not even Vince's best street fight, but it is still really good. There is a really good announcer table spot done by Vince. A lot of blood is shed in this match. There is also an appearance by another WWE legend near the end of the match.
RATING-8/10
Disc 2
Stone Cold Steve Austin VS The Rock(Match of the Night Award)
This match is amazing. A lot of brawling like the usual Austin/Rock confrontations. Finishers are used like crazy. What's funny is this isn't even there best match. They had matches at two other Wrestlemania's: WWE WrestleMania XV - The Ragin' Climax and WWE WrestleMania X-Seven.
RATING-9.5/10
WWE Championship
Kurt Angle VS Brock Lesnar
This is a very good match. Lots of suplexes and finishers. Slow-paced but the match works well that way. The ending is sickening and hard to watch, luckily Lesnar is okay. These two would go on to fight many more matches including their next one-on-one PPV match at WWE SummerSlam 2003.

Matt Hardy V.1(Champion) w/ Shannon Moore vs. Rey Mysterio
This match was too short to be a great contest, but the action is non-stop. Both Hardy and Mysterio really put on a good show, I just wish they were given more time.
3.5/5
TaUndertaker vs. A-Train and Big Show
Not a bad match considering how I have never felt that these guys work too well together. I think it was a smart move making it a handicap match. The ending was pretty cool with a nice spinning cresent kick by Nathan Jones to the big show.
3/5
Women's Championship:
Victoria (Champion) w/ Steven Richards vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz
This is the best women's title match I have ever seen. This match had a good pace, and all the women here really put on a good show, and to me, the right lady won.
4/5
WWE Tag Team Championship:
Team Angle (Champions) vs. Los Guerreros vs. Chris Benoit & Rhyno
This match was pretty good, with some nice spots, but I wish it were longer.
3/5
"HBK" Shawn Michaels vs. "Y2J" Chris Jericho
The show stopper returns to Wrestlemania and proves once again why he is the greatest in ring performer of all time. Excellent match, with both men putting on a magnificent display of skill. Jericho's version of the superkick and replicating Michaels with the forearm and kip-up was very entertaining.
5/5
Catfight: Torrie Wilson vs. Stacy Keibler vs. Catfight Girls
Any guy would enjoy this.
World Championship:
Triple H (Champion) w/ Ric Flair vs. Booker T
This match started off real good, with a nice pace and a nice spot with Triple H being arm dragged off the top rope. However, Flair's interference really broke the rhythm of this match. Nice Harlem/Houston Hangover at the end, too bad though Booker T took the pedigree wrong.
3.5/5
Street Fight:
Vince McMahon vs. Hulk Hogan
This match was 20 years in the making, and the build-up and storyline leading up to it was excellent. For two men over fifty they definitely put on a great match. Nice spot with the leg drop off the ladder through a table by Vince, and it was real exciting to see Rowdy Piper make a surprise appearance. Also the three leg drops by Hogan were a nice touch.
4/5
The Rock vs. Stone Cold
This match was good considering neither men were at their best in terms of timing in the ring. Austin's neck was in real bad shape and he knew this would be his last match, and you could tell he mentally wasn't all there. Both men however did a good job of trying to give this match it's own identity in comparing it to their other two WM encounters. It has more technical wrestling then thier match at WM X-seven does. The ending could have been better as it was a little anti-climatic.
4/5
WWE Championship:
Kurt Angle (Champion) vs. Brock Lesnar
Considering Angle had a broken neck, he was able to put on an amazing match. I love the technical wreslting that these two men perform throughout the match, and watching Angle kick out of the F-5 was breathtaking. This match will always be remember however for Lesnar's failed Shooting Star Press, it's an intense moment, as you can tell Tazz and Cole were both in shock. A great gesture of sportmanship at the end, and a great way to end one of the best Wrestlemania's of all time.

| Rock/Austin, Hogan/McMahon, Angle/Lesnar, Booker/The Game, HBK/Y2J WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
You got all the best in the WWE in this event of Wrestlemania XIX.
2 Amateur wrestlers in the Main Event of this Wrestlemania. Kurt Angle & Brock Lesnar, Both former NCCA Championship had made thid match a classic. The bad part of this match is Lesnar seems like he dont know what to do and delivers too much F-5s. And both men were injured towards the end of the match. Firset Lesnar missed a shooting-star press off the top rope. And Angle was injured from the last F-5 Lsnar deliver and win the WWE Championship from Kurt Angle. Both men shows respect after the match and made this night an memorable Wrestlemania.
On the other side, you got the seribal assassin Triple H the World Heavyweight Championship, the best in the business alive today against one of the best in the WWE the 5 Time World Heavyweight Champion Booker T. I was kinda of disappoint when Booker T lost this match cause I was expecting him to win and be the 6 Time World Heavyweight Champion. He really deserves the Championship belt and now he finally got it. I think Triple H should not beat Booker T this easy with just one Pedigree cause Booker tries so hard to win and The Nature Boy Ric Flair interrupts and distracts all the time and I expect more heart and courage of The BookMan.
One of the matches fans looking foward to is The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho. Since after the night HBK lost the World Title to The Game, Jericho started to targeted Shawn Michaels. Their feud crossed pass the Royal Rumble when Jericho jumped Shawn from behind and caused to be elimination. Later on Shawn came back and did the same. It continues towards No Way Out. HBK wasnt scheduled to have a match, but it was Jericho vs Jeff Hardy. Jericho got the win but Shawn got the last laugh. Now its on Wrestlemania HBK vs Y2J. It reminds me of those matches Shawn have in past. Shawn vs Razor, Bret, Jarrett, and others. Shawn got the win this time but Jericho has the last laugh this time. He low-blows Shawn and walk out of the ring. By the way, another classi match.
Now save the best 2 for last. First, Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs Mr. McMahon in Street Fight, 20 Years In The Making. I dont really knows the story in 1993. All I know is that Hogan jumps to WCW. But I dont know the outside of the WWE ring. In June of 2002 when Hogan & McMahon have words about Hogans gonna retire. McMahonsays he wanna challenged Hogan to a match. And we never see that match. I thought its gonna happened at Summerslam but not. When Hogan returns at February 2003 and McMahon came out and confronted Hogan, I knew it will happen in Wrestlemania and it did. Perhaps a 5 star classic match. The match was brutal and bloody. Both men bleeds thats awesome. Especially when McMahon deliver the legdrop top of the ladder. It was sweet. Then Piper made an appearance and I already knew hes gonna hit Hogan. Its common sense. And Hogan still runs wild and kick Vince and that referees @ss.
Now to the match I was most looking foward to. The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin 3. I wasnt expect to see this match happening in Wrestlemania 19. Cause The Rock was on Smackdown when he returns. I thoght Austins gonna face The Game at Wrestlemania cause both men were the worst enemies ever. But The Rock make a jump to Raw and confronted Austin after the night he beat Hogan at No Way Out. Oh thats another story. Back to Austin & Rock. Since that match was announced I was so excited to seeing it. Thats why I said it earlier its the match I was most looking foward. In the end it was the Rock whocame on top and beat Stone Cold 1,2,3. I was so proud of The Rock withouit any help, he finally beat Stone Cold for the first time. I think the past 2 matches between these 2 cant compared to this one. The second one from Wrestlemania 17 is an awesome match til McMahon came out. And Austin actually selling out to McMahon. I Hate That match.
I dont know which brand stole the show cause theres so many awesome matches. Other Matches here in Wrestlemania 19 are:
WWE Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match:
Team Angle vs Chris Benoit vs Los Guerrerros.
Its weird seeing Benoit & Guerrerro in a Tag Team Championship Match and one year later both men were the Champions.
The Undertaker vs Big Show & A-Train.
Everybody knows Taker won cause hes undefeated in Wrestlemania.
Womens Championship: Victoria vs Trish Stratus vs Jazz.
I never pay attention to match. Only to Trish. All you need to know is Trish wins.
WWE Crusiweight Championship: Matt Hardy vs Rey Mysterio.
Awesome opener. Shouldve been long. It will be better.
I relly recommend you to buy this video. It'll be great. See all the greats battle each other.

| Wrestlemania 19 is a 5 star ppv |
75-71%-awsome
70-66%-good
65-61%-poor
60-56%-awful
1. Rey Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy for the crusierwieght title- This was a good match for the time they gave it. They gave it a sad 6 minutes which should have been way more. This was a very quick pace from the begining and ahrdy played his role well. Lots of high flying action and a good way to kick off the show. Winner and still crusierwieght champ Matt Hardy. match Rating 6.5/10.
2. A-Train and Big Show vs. Undertaker handicap match- This was alot better than expected. I think it was a good idea that they took nathen jones out of this match as he was not ready for a wrestlemania match. Your typical big man match but a little better. Given 9 minutes which was about right and a sweet kick by jones near the end of the match. Winner Undertaker. Match Rating 6.5/10.
3. Trish vs. Jazz vs. Victoria for the wwe womens title- This was another decent match and alot better than expected. I have never been a big fan of womens matches but this was entertaing with all of these ladeis being the womens champ before. Typical trople threat match with the heels teaming up for some of the match. Good action. Winner and new wwe womens champ Trish Stratus. Match Rating 7/10.
4. Los Guerreros vs. Chris Beniot and Rhyno vs. Team angle for the wwe tag team titles- This was another good match not to sound repetative but it was. Really good tag match lots of fast paced action here. Soild wrestling and than broke down into a tornado match. For about 4 minutes non stop near falls and a really good match. Winners and still wwe tag team champs team angles. Match Rating 7.5/10.
5. Shawn Michales vs. Y2J- This in my opion was tied or was match of the night really hard to decide. This was such a well put together macth and a great storyline to add to this match. Started with some just soild wrestling to start off than broke to the outside were jerico put the walls of jerico on michales. It seemed like alot of this match was worked on the back. But than it had so many near falls un beliveable even jerico hit sewwt chin musci on michales. Just an awsome match. Winner Shawn Michales. Match rating 9/10.
6. Booker T vs. HHH for the WHT- This also had a great story behind it but did not live up to all the hype that i was hoping. I was hoping that HHH would really step up his game and he did but he could have done better. Good action to start but than alot of this match was worked on the leg and in my opion if you work on a body part to mauch it ruins the match. Not horrable though and lots of near falls. A sick spinning leg drop from the top rope by booker T. Match rating 7.5/10.
7. Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon in a street fight- This also was another good match. Just to point out there is really not one bad match on this whole card. Anyway the only proble with this was it was so prediactable who was going to win number 1 becasue they said if hulhogan lost he would have to retire. Lots of blood and entertinment in this match. Also vince always puts his bodyon the line as he takes a sick chair shot to the head. Also a leg drop off a 10 foot ladder through a table and apperance by piper makes this a good match. Winner hulk hogan. Match Raing 8/10.
8. Stone Cold vs. The Rock- This was proboly the worst of there matches otgether but that is not saying much alot of people uder rate this match but i see it as i could not believe austin went out there and put on the show he did with his bad back> Just soild action all the way thorugh and than near fall after near fall stunner rock bottom everythung. A great job by both men and i might over rate this but i think it is the right call. Winner The Rock 8/10.
9. Brock Lesner vs. Kurt Angle for the wwe title- This is what you call an awsome main event. For the shape that angle was in with his neck he put on a awsome preformance. A little slow to start but picked up from there with soild wrestling by both men. Lots of near falls in cluding angle kicking out of 2 F-5 whcih was awsome and brock Lesner kicking out of an angle slam. Lesner took one of the sickest falls i had ever seen were i thought he could have been dead. Winner and new wwe champ Brock Lesner. Match Rating 9/10.
Well that raps up another. I would give Wrestlemania 19 a grade of 69/80 which means this is a perfect ppv. It goes over my sclae it is so good. awsome dvd and you should get it right away. If you can tell me if my review was helpful or not i would appreicate that. Thanks for your time. June 25, 2006
