NO SPOILERS HERE: This is a shorter film than most and is without a gripping plot, but I was captivated by the acting and the visual richness. There are a few interwoven story lines. If you are interested in restaurants and/or cooking, food and restaurant trends, or just the type of films that have more character exploration than action, you will enjoy this one. The actor who played an art critic taking some artists and hangers on to dinner was so effective at his role that I felt uncomfortable watching him. I had an idea of how it would end and was right, but that didn't spoil it for me. Too bad Hollywood never makes sequels to good films like this one - the various story lines leave lots of possibilities.

January 21, 2008 We saw Dinner Rush on satelite and were hooked. Immediately went to Amazon and purchased. The movie is excellent for those who like real inter action of personalities which eventually comes to a justified conclusion. Danny Aiello is superb!
January 18, 2008This is a great movie about one night in a New York bistro.Having read Anthony Bourdains KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL I imagine the action about the kitchen and dining room were true to life. Add some gangters to the mix and you get some great action, drama and dialogue. I got this as a gift having rented it some time ago. Some movies never get the public acclaim they should. This movie does not dissappoint.
August 6, 2007Tastefully shot in New York City, Dinner Rush is a seductive little number. For those of you who have worked in a restaurant setting, this movie has an uncanny level of authenticity. Danny Aiello serves up his requisite on target performance and the casting is phenomenal. For those of you who love working in restaurants, this movie is a winner. For those of you that are curious about the family atmosphere one always encounters at a quality restaurant, check this one out because Dinner Rush delivers. Bravo!
