Jim Breuer is a veteran of comedy that we don't see so much of these days. His humor is great and he backs it up with his band who do add to the overall feel of his style of comdey. "Smoke'n'Breu" does however have a few minor flaws.

The biggest issue on the CD is the use of the band durning some of his tracks (most notably "Fatman"). The band tries to make some noise but it doesn't do much more than annoy the listener. Now "AC/DC" and "Party in the Stomach" on the other hand the band is necessary and does a good job.

-- In a nutshell: Good band, good comedy, bad music placement in a few spots, except the beginning and end tracks. Otherwise not bad.

Worth a listen but it's your call on whether you buy or not. February 21, 2008

2 GOOD TRACKS ON THIS C.D. THE REST OF IT SUCKS. NOT FUNNY AT ALL. September 20, 2007

Although I was absolutely annoyed by him when he made a guest shot on the Howard Stern radio show a few days ago, I decided to give Jim Breuer's stand-up act a shot, and borrowed this from a Breuer-fan buddy. Boy, was that a mistake; the man was just as obnoxiously unfunny doing his stand-up thing on this platter as he was when he was doin' Brian Johnson duets with Artie Lange on the Stern show!

Speaking of Brian Johnson: I've yet to encounter a more annoying "funny" song this side of Adam Sandler's umpteenth update of "The Hanukkah (sp?) Song" than this guy's "AC/DC Hokey-Pokey". And that fingernails-across-a-blackboard "heh-heh-heh" he does every ten seconds throughout his unbelievably lame and annoying standup act drove me up a wall! Then there was his occasional super-villain-hyena-laugh that made me wanna break stuff! Preferably my friend's CD...

Hold on a moment... now, where did I put that sledge hammer-- ah, there it is...

(SWING) *SMASH* *SHATTER*

Now THAT's more like it! I feel a lot better now.

`Course, now I gotta buy my friend a new CD. But d@mmit, it was worth it!

I went to see this act when he was in my town and it was so hilarious I had to buy it. He has the greatest goat track and the AC/DC hokey pokey is great. If you love any SNL or comedy central presents , you will love this one. January 15, 2005

After seeing Jim Bruer at my school, i had to go out and buy this cd ASAP. Just being Jim was great to see, and his ease of relating with the audience is great. He will keep you laughing no matter what he is talking about.

His Joe Pesci will keep you laughing at all times, he took a kids cell phone and answered it as Joe Pesci, along with these types of jokes and personal stories of The Goat, and 80's nostalgia to AC/DC concerts, this cd is a MUST GET! June 3, 2003
