rating: 4 QuoteMen boast of sexcapades with replays. VG movie for those who enjoy this genre. . Quote
Men who love sex eat red meat. Two chauvanist guys meet to share their most recent conquests, with replays of sex scenes. One has a chance to meet a real quality lady but opts out for the easy lay. The third guy is an inexperienced man who goes from visiting a prostitute to finding a fine
lonely lady. They talk. Sadly she tells about dying with cancer. He is moved. He tenderly undresses her and gives a massage, bringing renewed joy to her. After being happily married for a few years she passes away.
The studs are turned off by this mensch. But the waitress, a delightful
fun gal is touched by him and they talk late into the night.
A few reviewers blast Lara Boyle. I disagree. She, the waitress & Susan
all give excellent performances. Some of the lost women are zany but
convincing. I found Frain and Chris also into their roles while Victor
shows sensitivity and a sense of humor. I had the R rated version. There is male and female nudity that fits well. Some will find this movie to be
very good entertainment while others may be turned off. Tastes vary.
I was moved & enjoyed the studs' crude arrogance although annoying.

this movie blows...lara flynn boyle has a tiny little role as a cancer patient in a barrage of cheese-ball scene's that will make you puke out your eyes. AvOiD! August 9, 2006

The men are smart -- the women are sassy... It's a thinkers movie like "Six Degrees of Separation"...

If you liked that -- you'll like this movie...

If you like movies that are about something, you won't be let down. February 15, 2004

This film was truly underappreciated, most likely due to Miss Boyle's lackluster performance. The screenplay, though underserved by the cast performances and studio marketing, was tailored, precise, and enlightining on the subject of male-femail relationships and the underlying psychology of this important and complicated area. The directing was also noteworthy, particularly for a first-timer. February 5, 2004

Once a month, Stefan and Chris meet up with their buddies to go to the gym, eat red meat and talk about girls. They run into Victor, Chris's long-lost friend, and invite him to join in the manly ritual. Each man has had his share of women; loving them, using them, and leaving them. It's the testosterone talking.
