Demi Moore, a psychic with long blonde curls? Yes, but it works and she is charming and cute in this fun flick that is worth more than one viewing. Predictable? Sure. But who cares? It is a great way to spend a little leisure time.
I also found it funny, especially Jeff Daniels as the shrink who doesn't know that he is already in love with the butcher's wife, long before they both find out they are each other's "split aparts". In the meantime, Demi's Marina character is busy match-making the neighbors, and then her own husband!
May 25, 2008The movie nor the actors would win Academy Awards but it's a story that's just plain fun and a "no brainer" if you simply want to be entertained. A young Demi Moore showed her potential as an actress. Performances by Jeff Daniels, Mary Steenburgen, George Dzundza and Margaret Colin were delightful. We had a good time watching this one....again.

I love this movie! It is one of my all time favorites! It is silly and a bit mushy at times I know. But it is one of the best at showing that anyone and everyone - Short, fat, tall, skinny, beautiful, gay, smart or simple can find their true love! Finding one's split-apart is really just about everyone's longing in life!

I really enjoyed this movie. It's a fun movie to watch. Demi Moore is really good in it. I love the plot and all the characters and how they all come together.
September 8, 2007This is not a very credible love story but a very funny one between Demi Moore (the fey butcher's wife) and Jeff Daniels (the hard-nosed shrink).
If you believe in "Once upon a time...", you can buy it.
