First of all I bought this for $2 plus shipping, new and I think it was worth it. It was made before his first English album around the time of his "Maria" video (1997). All the songs are in Spanish and all are preformed live except for the video "Te Extrano". I wonder if it is a public domain item because I see it popping up with different covers and different names. These are far from being his best preformances, however I like the video because of the candid footage while he is traveling, and preparing to perform. He seems genuine and warm. My favorite performances on this video are "Susana", "Maria" the video "Te Extrano" and in the Bonus section "La Bamba". There is an 18 page printed Biography which is quite interesting. What you see is not what you get with this DVD, it is not a celebration of the Artist at all! The layout and pointless editing detracts and destroys the performance! March 24, 2006

Even though I read a few bad reviews on this DVD I still went out & bought it & I absoulutely loved it! Here's the way I see it, if you are a spanish speaking fan of Ricky Martin & like his Spanish songs from the albums before Vuelve, Then you will absoulutely love this DVD. If you don't speak spanish & don't like his songs prior to his Vuelve album, the don't even bother to get this DVD because you won't enjoy it at all.
This shows the best of Ricky Martin's European Tour through Spain, Germany, Monacco etc. Show awesome concert footage which is edited together to look awesome & exciting, they showed only the best here. Then you get to see some awesome behind the scenes stuff of him talking about the tour life, etc. It's absoulutely awesome I totally loved it! I keep watching it all the time it's so good. I personally highly reccomend it if you are a Hardcore Ricky Martin fan & enjoy his early music. November 30, 2003

I'm a great fan of Ricky Martin's music. As an artist, he's hugely talented. I expected this video to showcase that talent and put the music first. I found the interspersed 'behind-the-scenes' cuts annoying, as well as the footage from a moving car. Visually, it's boring filler. That's a big failure considering what a wealth of raw material there was to work with. You buy the DVD to see the main event, not an endless parade of roadside scenery. It's like an hour long infomercial.

The concert footage is irritating with too many jump cuts and student-level, let's try-everything editing. I had to look away and just listen to the music; not exactly the point of DVD is it?. Simplicity would have saved it from mediocrity. His talent is big enough to do the heavy lifting here. All the tricks just weighed it down. Longer, sustained footage of Ricky performing would have helped.

End result: Poor production values, lousy editing, so-so sound quality and unimaginative directing made it ultimately very disappointing. May 29, 2003

If you like Ricky Martin's music, don't expect this DVD is going to fill your needs. Music and production quality is poor. Seems that it was made by a low budget producer.

All songs are in spanish, so if you expect to see a live performance of Living la vida loca, you'll be upset.

Although I am one of his country fellowmen, I have to rate this DVD less than average....POOR!

Sorry, this is my honest opinion. June 20, 2002
