rating: 5 QuoteA Delicious Serving of Romantic Comedy For the Entire FamilyQuote
On tonight's menu, we are serving a romantic comedy that will satisfy the most discriminatory palate. Devoid of nudity and foul language, "No Reservations" is a touching, heart warming comedy that is suitable for all ages. It has a very upbeat, positive finale that can only be found in a modern fairytale.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is wonderful as Kate who is one of the best chefs in New York; unfortunately, she seeks solace and comfort in the kitchen of an upscale restaurant. Her daily routine is turned upside down when tragedy forces her to becomes a parent to her niece, and a handsome, dashing chef (Aaron Eckhart) is hired to assist her in the kitchen. During the course of the movie, Kate metamorphoses from a self-isolated, suspicious person into someone who can trust, love and share her world.

Great performances are given by everyone, especially Abigail Breslin who is very convincing as Kate's orphaned niece, Zoe; Zoe has a hard time adjusting to the loss of her mother and your heart will break for her.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhard look great together. Their kissing is very passionate. They are able to heat up the kitchen without turning on the stove.

"No Reservations" comes highly recommended; it will make a great addition to anyone's collection of romantic comedies. Watch it tonight; reservations aren't required.

I don't care what some say.
There is nothing new under the sun... so yes, you can figure out the story.
So what?

There was no nudity and I can't recall profanity but I do have TVG.
It was a sweet, romantic story.

I could hardly finish this movie. There was so little dialogue, and so little action. Most of the scenes were silent, and we were just watching people walk around or cook. I was bored sick, and I don't reccomend this film unless you want to fall asleep.

I love Catherine Zeta Jones because she's so charming, Aaron Eckheart was likeable, and Abigail Breslin is a brilliant little actress, but none of them could save this movie. It was a waste of money and talent. It seems like they used the script for another film, but just took out what they couldn't use instead of re-writing it. The trailer makes it look entertaining and fun, but it wasn't. I was disappointed, and I wanted to turn it off before we were at the end. I just kept thinking that it would be over any time, but it dragged on and on.

There are no surprises and no scenes that are worth watching the movie for. Everything was bland and boring. Don't bother watching it. If you read a review of it by a good writer, that will be more interesting than the film itself. June 6, 2008

If you enjoy romantic dramas I would say this is a pretty decent one. However, this is not a romantic comedy. Comedy means funny and it isn't funny very often. The main character or heroine, Kate, feels she is missing out on something in her life and her psychiatrist makes that abundently clear. When she loses her sister in a car accident she is left with a niece, Zoe, that is overwhelmed with her mothers death. The two try to cope with the loss. Meanwhile Kate is working as a top ten chef in a elegant New York restaurant. As she and her niece are working out their issues Kate takes some time off to spend with Zoe. When Kate returns she finds there is a new sous chef, Nick, that is hansom, funny (assumed as we see people laughing, but we never hear the jokes), and a pretty good chef that could be running his own kitchen. Kate sees this as a threat to her position and goes ballistic. Eventually she calms down and Nick and her relationship starts to blossom. My wife and I enjoyed it. Good quality DVD with decent replayability. June 2, 2008
