Along Came Polly (2004)

Along Comes Jennifer...again...

Some see this as a comedy but it goes beyond that easy classification.It's a happy film. Plot: Ben Stiller gets married and his wife cheats on him on the honeymoon! He's through with that relationship and accidentally meets up with an early middle school classmate: Jennifer Aniston. They have entirely different interests and occupations and yet there is something that keeps clicking when they get together. Some critics are so used to seeing Aniston in the old "Friends" role they don't really appreciate how her acting has grown.She makes the film interesting from beginning to end. Her easy style leads to seeing her start to form the relationship between them as if you are watching a reality show.
The outcome is never obvious and you will want to see this film more than once. It is fun to see a star developed like this.
The fans will also be happy to see her in a pair of tight red shorts on the bed with Stiller, a picture which will probably stay in one's mind's eye for some time. So will Aniston's acting.

A cute safe movie

A movie that you can watch with your girlfriend or wife that the guys will enjoy and can get bonus points for not being a action or horror flick. Ben and Jennifer make a funny couple in this movie. There are so many points that get you laughing that you will enjoy it from start to finish.

Not a bad flick; good for a laugh.

I have always been a fan of Ben Stiller since I first saw him, and he always seems to be good for a laugh, no matter how bad the actual movie itself may be.

With that being said, I do want to say one thing, Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston have NO chemistry on screen; I mean absolute zero chemistry together! Stiller and Debra Messing however, do have pretty good chemistry together and I think having them as a couple for a bit longer would have been better.

The movie does have its laughs and in my opinion is worth a rent or two. The blind ferret, as many have said does steal the screen when present and also provides nice comic relief. The scuba instructor for me, was thje funniest part, as the accent is absolutely hilarious.

As I mentioned, its good for a rent and some good cheesy laughs, but the lack of chemistry between Stiller and Aniston really dampens the whole movie. I'm not a big fan of Aniston myself and maybe I'm just being a bit biased, but I believe it was her portrayel of her character that made the whole thing a bit forced and fake. June 21, 2007
