From Justin To Kelly (2003)

Not as bad as they say

This movie gets a bad rap because alot of those who watched it for the first time did not already know the personalites of the top two contestants on the First Season of Idol.
If you are a fan of the first season it is not nearly as bad.
It would have been better to use all of the top 10 to fill the roles on this film than to get a bunch of no names.
Tamyra Gray especially would have done a better job as Kelly's best friend, and it's obvious that is who they are modeling her after.
On the non theatrical version on the dvd you actually get to see Justin do more than they let him in the non extended version, which was at the theathers.
His sincere solo "From me to You" would have given the film more substance., and his dance number with Kelly and the rest of the gang "Shining Star" would have given it more weight upon it's inital release.
Why they were cut is really strange to me.
The only think I can think of is that in these two numbers Justin, the Runner Up, out shines Kelly, the Winner, which he did most of the first season anyway.

Awsome

it was a good movie it sort of reminded me of grease tho. but it was amazing the dance rutines were out of this world. the sory line was all right. i wish there was a soundtrack cd somewhere to buy i likes all the songs June 29, 2007

It's Not All That Bad

A good movie reminds me when I was a teenager. This movie is more for pre-teens who are looking for that special moment. Justin Guarini was hot! Kelly Clarkson was awesome as well. But you must admit Justin Guarini can move and make you feel like a teenager all over again! January 16, 2007

I loved it.

Okay it's a young love story, it's not going to blow you over with the storyline. Other than that... I believe Kelly and Justin are still the best things to come from American Idol, and their very appealing personalities shine brightly in this movie. I've seen it numerous times, and still enjoy it each time. September 2, 2006

I'm being generous because...

of Kelly Clarkson's vocals in the movie. I actually bought it used just to check it out and get a good laugh. I got what I expected...lousy plot, lousy acting and scripted beach dance routines,and got a good laugh! However, I like Kelly Clarkson, and she's cute in this film, so I'm being nice. Not the worse movie of all time, but definitely one that I haven't watched again. July 25, 2006
