So sad that there wasn't a third season. They got picked for a another season for like a day but then they dropped them. Dumbest move the network made.

This show was made before 9-11 about a post 9-11 world. It deals with USA in a depression after terrorist sent up a nucular air pulse that killed all the computers and sent the world back to the dark ages. With crime running out of control our hero Max (the lovely Jessica Alba) is a geniticly enhanced super soilder who escaped from her test lab prison. I still can not forgive Foxfor cancelling this show. BAD FOX! BAD FOX!
July 2, 2008I don't know if you like Jessica Alba; the star. I don't. But I loved her riveting and imaginative sitcom! I never missed an episode in a time when there wasn't "On Demand" or a sitcom DVD mainstream. You're lucky. This is very cheap for a great season if you appreciate a dark story, a Buffy-like, gun hating heroine with only a few trusted friends and a bloody past. Although I do not recommend straying from Season One, there is a controversial and interesting plot throughout.

Amazon has the complete first season DVDs listed twice, once for $28 and once for $36, and the only difference between the two items seems to be the picture on the front. The second season is also listed twice, for $28 or $40.
However, the complete series is listed for $45. I just received my order, and it really does contain each set of season disks. I recommend getting "Dark Angel - The Complete Series" unless, for whatever reason, you're interested in only one season.

I got my husband the game for Xbox, which got us interested in watching the only two seasons of Dark Angel. It was a really great show with a new and different concept. I wish we had known about it before it was canceled. I would highly recommend the first season of Dark Angel to anyone even thinking of buying it.
