Beakmans World is a great show and I was so glad to find the DVD. Its educational and enjoyable. Grown-ups and kids a like will learn something while laughing at the ridiculous puns and jokes. He teaches kids about balance points and the center of gravity in one section. He shows them how to balance 2 forks on the end of a tooth pick. He recommends using a salt shaker to hold it up. We were in a chinese resturant and the salt shaker didnt have a flat head so after we paid the bill we balanced the 2 forks on the hole in the top of the metal tea kettle and left it for the waiter to see. My son loved seeing the look on his face when he found it. Fun and Education! what more could you want!

The first "red flag" for us was in the introduction given by two puppet penguins. That seems harmless enough, but when one stated that he was "younger and sexier" than the other, I began to worry. I'm sorry, but my CHILDREN don't understand that humor yet and we parents don't appreciate it in a KIDS' dvd. Well, fast forward through that and we're ok, right? I mean, the reviews and awards are positive and plentiful. But, a few minutes more was all we could stand. "Beakman" was obnoxious and the hand gestures just wouldn't stop (not rude gestures, just the "lead singer of a rap group" kind). The supporting characters in the show were not much better, especially the tattoed mouse character. Maybe, just maybe it all gets better after that first 10 minutes, but in the name of good, clean learning, we'll try something else. June 3, 2008

Our children (under age six) ask for this video all the time. They sit and watch it, giggling and asking questions about the information being presented. We have tried some of the experiments at their request. Wish the whole season were available, we'd buy it. Consider giving this as your next birthday party gift to another child, both the parents and children will enjoy it. April 24, 2008

I really love Beakman's World. I'm a 5th grade science teacher and pop in Beakman for Fun Fridays. I just wish the whole series was available. September 28, 2007

I love Beakman's World. It teaches about science in an interesting way so it is still very interseting. My friends and I have tried many of the experiments and succeded, well having lots of fun. I think that it would be great if the people working at Beakman's world would come out with seasons 1-5, because it is a great show for all. I still watch taped shows, and the reruns that are on every Saturday, but most people who I talk to and know about Beakman would agree that a boxed set would be great. December 23, 2006
