| | don't waste your money .....set is a rip off...... | |
Buying them one at a time will save you money. Most of these movies now sell for under $15 each the only one worth some money is 101 dalmations because it is out of print. Otherwise this set is way over priced...
February 19, 2004Has anybody actually bought this because the pic suggests that theier are 2 sets of 6 and that would make more sense. Each sepretly is $15 and thats only $90 so it would make sense that this is actully a 12 pack right? Someone please help.

Collector's sets should reflect a value to the consumer as an incentive to purchase the titles all a once. Unfortunately they almost never do. After carefully checking Amazon's current prices once again you pay more for this Disney boxed set over purchasing seperately. The most important question I ask myself when considering a purchasing a boxed set is would I buy all the titles in the set if they weren't stuck in a box? If the answer is no, you have to ask what you think the undesireable title or titles are worth to you. In this case on average you are paying more than the full retail price for each title. So your answer should be to say NO to this set. Buy six titles you do like and you will be way ahead. With the exception of the Toy Story two pack and The Wolfgang Peterson Collection, I am not sure I have seen a collection that doesn't include one or more unsellable dog films thrown in with one or two must have films. The titles in this collection are all remakes or spin offs on better existing material. This is one of the less offensive collections out there but none of these titles are considered Disney Classics. However many are good for a few laughs.
August 25, 2001Great way to start your DVD collection. Theses are funny for both kid and grown up alike. Who could sit quietly through anything with Robin Williams in it. It is a great bargain when you price each individually.
