About Bad Boys
Slick to a fault, this glossy action flick takes place in sunny Florida, where Martin Lawrence and Will Smith play two cops--one married with kids, the other a swinging bachelor. The two are forced to trade places to foil criminal mastermind Fouchet (Tchéky Karyo) who has stolen $100 million worth of heroin from a police lockup. Violent, illogical, and filled with wall-to-wall profanity, Bad Boys was the last film produced by the hit-making team of Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer before Simpson's untimely death, and marked the directorial debut of Michael Bay who followed up with The Rock. Bad Boys will be of interest to action buffs and fans of Téa Leoni, who makes one of her early screen appearances in the central supporting role. --Jeff Shannon Amazon.com

It was Téa Leoni's movie...
had the hard straightman roles. Just a lot of killing, drugs and real bad guys with no shading. Black on bad in sin city USA.
Special effects was blowing things up and car chases.
A role reversal of a black cop with a family and his playboy
partner, turns into a hostage situation when the
woman witness is kidnapped in the hotel lobby during a gun fight.
So it ends like you expect... June 9, 2008
One of the best and funniest action movies I've ever seen.
Whatcha Gonna Do?
As for the story of the movie, it begins with some drug dealers braking in to the Miami Beach Police Department to steal a load of confiscated cocaine. They come in thru the ventilation shaft and steal the load. In the morning these two cops (Will Smith, Martin Lawrence) are notified about the incident. Elsewhere one of the drug dealers decides to steal some of the cocaine, and is pursued by his boss and fellow partners; he is shot and killed along with a prostitute. Only thing the bad guys weren't counting on was that there is was a witness and she knows about these two cops, and is in search of justice. now both cops have a short period of time to protect the girl and get back the drugs before they are sold to the highest bidder.
It is an interesting story, but the movie fails to bring the story to its full potential. Instead it relies on racist jokes, a lot of cursing, unnecessary dumb moments. There's even a trading places moment (watch it you will know what I mean) anyhow it's a good movie to watch once, it is kind of entertaining and funny but it lacks a lot of originality.
MY PERSONAL RATING: 3 OUT OF 5
