About Shadow Conspiracy

Charlie Sheen plays a presidential aide who gets wind of a conspiracy at the highest levels of government and quickly finds himself targeted by the mystery villains. Loaded down by coincidences, improbabilities, and a third-rate script, the film comes across as a poor man's cross between The Firm and The X-Files. Nobody involved gets away clean, especially Sheen, who looks like a man condemned to these awful potboilers. (Remember the days of Wall Street?) But what are Gore Vidal, Theodore Bikel, and Sam Waterston doing in here? Directed by George P. Cosmatos, who has done some lousy work, for sure (Leviathan), but also some good (Tombstone). --Tom Keogh Amazon.com

rating: 5 QuoteOne of my all-time favorite suspense moviesQuote
This is a great movie if you like political intrigue, action and suspense, and if you're a fan of Donald Sutherland and Charlie Sheen. This movie is almost more relevant today than it was when it was made. Great cast and attention-getting, creative plot, with its fair share of twists and turns. If you've never seen this movie, you should! August 16, 2008

This wasn't the best action/adventure flick, not by a long shot. It did have a pretty good story line and some good action and fighting. It lost me toward the end with the toy-helicopter flying around shooting real rounds and killing by-standers but always missing the real targets. This film would have got 4-stars from me but for that cheesy ending. September 29, 2007

This is a gem of a movie. Charlie Sheen does
the best that he is capable of.Donald Sutherland
is his usual brilliant self. It's about a shadow
government within the government that is trying
to run things.Sheen plays Billy Bishop,an advisor
to the president( ok,nobody can buy that)and he
accidently stumbles onto a shadow gov. That's when
the bodies start piling up.Despite Sheen, the story
itself is a really good political thriller.
That being said, save yourself some money and
buy this region 2 dvd from Amazon uk for less
than 1 pound!!!! About $3.00 US.

Charlie Sheen
stars as an advisor to the president.
He stumbles across what may be a shadow inside the government . He became hunted to be killed since they know that their conspiracy was uncoverd by him. Both Sheen and Sutherland deliver excellent performances.
Donald Sutherland as Jacob Conrad, Chief of Staff
is as expected superb.
While on the run after being shot at and seeing a good
friend shot down on the street Charlie Sheen turns to a good
friend to help him. When he gets to the spot for the pick up, again he almost killed but escaped in a hairline.
Bishop then turns to his ex girlfriend Givens for help
because she had written a piece a year previously about
a shadow government. They both end up on the run.
Then the movie become a killing spree.. (I don't want to give all the spoiler here).
You got to watch it!

The film starts off good. Researchers are knocked off one by one by an assassin. Who is this man? Who does he work for? The film then takes bad turn by not explaining more in detail what's going on. The premise is there. There are moments of suspense. But, the execution just doesn't work. Blame the story and screenplay for that! By the end of this film, I wondered "why"? We don't get that answer and this film leaves a lot of loose ends. Marginal thumbs down. May 28, 2006
