The first time I saw them was at the Whiskey A GoGO in 78. Never been the same since. Class of 1977 LA Punk Rock. LA was Weird and different with it's own Rhythm and style that was so great and like no where else. We copied no one. All the bands were great from that time and the Weirdos were the King and the Bags were the Queen.
April 22, 2008The Weirdos were the best west coast punk band. Period. This album collects a good chunk of their best songs. What more can I say?
June 6, 2006The Weirdos were the Kings of the Early L.A. punk scene. That's saying alot considering the bands that were around back in '77-'80. This is classic punk. No mowhauks. No trendy clothe. Just crystal pure punk. These guys, along with The Plugz and The Screamers, were teaching us youngsters what music could and should sound like. It's great to see bands like this being discovered by a new generation. They're touring again and I took my two boys (11 and 13) to see them a few months ago. They were blown away. Helium Bar is one of the best punk songs ever written and is worth the cost of the whole cd. If you want real oldschool punk by the guys who invented and defined it, this is it.
September 10, 2005The weirdos kicked a$$ back in 77 when I wasn't born... hehe... and are still out kickin a$$!! I saw them play at the showcase a couple weeks ago with the skulls... AWESOME show! I love the weirdos! And the lead singer is really cute for an older guy! Really nice blue eyes... awesome stage performance... I admire them for putting such effort in their music... for like... *doing math* (77-04).. hmmm.. 24+3=... aha! 27 years! Anyways... awesome band... I love the song fallout. I love all their stuff... WEIRDOS for life! BUY THIS CD!!!! (i have the LP HAHA!)
