I've had a taped copy of "Purlie" for many years but I wanted it on DVD.
I love the show very much and thoroughly enjoy listening to it much more now that it's on DVD.
The music is very toe-tapping and exciting. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good listen.

Just hearing Melba Moore sing "I Got Love" is worth the price of the CD. And Linda Hopkins blows me away every time I hear her sing "Walk Him Up the Stairs". I was somewhat disappointed with parts of the score, but I'm still glad to finally have the CD in my collection. Love the cover art. March 13, 2006
