This tape is an edited version of the episode.
It does not contain the weekend update with Jessie
Jackson reciting "Green Eggs and Ham".
The tape is app. 25 minutes in length.
Othe than that typical SNL. December 7, 2005

The 1991 - 1992 season of "Saturday Night Live" was a watershed year for its strong cast, many of which (Phil Hartman, Mike Myers, Al Franken, Dana Carvey) had already been on the show a good five years by this point. It also featured some of its most consistent writing ever, thanks to veterans like Franken and the great Robert Smigel.

The season started off with this great show hosted by basketball legend Michael Jordan. Before I start my review, I would like to say that I do not own this video tape, but I did see the episode on tv. I saw the 60 - minute edited version on E! rather than the full 90 minute edition, but I'm going to assume it was edited like the Jerry Seinfeld tape.

The dvd starts off with "Wayne's World", with Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) listing some of the best and worst moments from the summer of 1991. Watching them shamelessly zing "Thelma And Louise" and applaud Demi Moore for her pregnant nude spread still seems funny 14 years later.

I don't know what sketches crossed over from E! to here, but I do know this episode contained the classic "Super Fans" sketch with Chris Farley faking the heart attack and the fans drifting off into space as Michael talks about the Michael Jordan foundation. Very funny. This episode also contained the best Stuart Smalley sketch ever. I only saw a clip of it on the 25th anniversary special tape but it was hysterical. This episode also includes the "Weekend Update" where the reverend Jesse Jackson read "Green Eggs And Ham" as a tribute to Dr. Seusse.

Overall, this is a very funny tape. I recommend it for fans of the show or Michael Jordan, or both. May 1, 2005

This video is ultimate. Ultimate in the fact that it's ultimate comedy, and ultimate in the fact that it features The Ultimate Man, Michael Jordan. So put two and two together--or in this case, put ultimate and ultimate together, and what do you get? The answer's very simple--ultimate. Order this video now. November 9, 1999
