The album shown when you click on "buy mp3 album" is not the soundtrack to the movie Beautiful Girls. It is some Chinese album called "Beautiful Girl" (not girls). I'm pretty sure that all of the music from the Beautiful Girls soundtrack was in English... Please fix this Amazon. March 12, 2008

This is one of my all-time favorite movies; unfortunately, most of the best songs in the movie aren't on the soundtrack. After seeing how weak the sountrack was, my husband and I spent our money on the songs we really wanted from iTunes (they aren't all available) and made a playlist. Take my advice, buy the movie, don't buy the soundtrack. December 30, 2007

I love this movie and the soundtrack. This was a very underrated movie with a lot of great actors who were a terrific ensemble cast. Rosie O'Donnell, before she wacked out, was a scene stealer in this movie, as was a young Natalie Portman. This movie was perfectly cast, and the new TV show October Road, is a take off of this movie!! December 16, 2007

Very cool movie with a nostalgic feel to it that is reflected in the soundtrack. First time I'd heard of Satchel, and ended up liking their other stuff as well as the song on the soundtrack. These songs remind me of the movie and the moments in it. Soundtracks are cool cause sometimes I will get into music that I'd never hear. I always been a fan of the mello rock, alt-country, so the songs on this weren't really a stretch.

Approx 80% of you are here for the same reason I came here....to find the name of that darn catchy song played in this movie, but is NOT on the soundtrack. Well, I did find out what it was, and am now enjoying it with great abandon ;-) The song you are all looking for...they don't write em like that anymore...is actually called "The Breakup Song" and is by Greg Kihn...you remember him....our loves in jeopardy...baby...oooooo..ooooo...hehe.
The soundtrack itself is ok...but not as good as I hoped it would be.
