This is an essential facet of the Indigo Girls fan collection. While I'm not crazy about all of the cuts that made it onto the compilation, and I think there are other songs that better show their prowess as songwriters, this is a fantastic live release. It shows the spirit of their music and the path of their growth as musicians. The speaking inserts and the cuts demonstrating the interaction they have with their audiences are priceless.
August 16, 2007This is an ALL TIME FAVORITE of mine! If you like the Indigo Girls...this is a MUST HAVE!!!! :)
June 17, 2007This is one of my favorite cd's... and I own A LOT!!! Great performances! They sound just as good or better live than their studio albums. I've had this 2-cd set for almost 10 years now and it is still in rotation on my cd changer!!
May 20, 2007Long before there were the Dixie Chicks, there were the Indigo Girls, who could put on a stellar show. This double CD captures Amy Ray and Emily Saliers live, with a raucous blend of songs that combine social commentary with hard driving music. The Indigo Girls defied labeling, as they crossed over genres as well as bent gender interpretations of songs. They might be a little raw for some people's tastes, but if you are a fan it is pretty hard to pass on this CD, which seems to have best summed up their music to date.
