I had seen this show years ago and remembered it as being better than it is.
A good story brought to film by mediocre screenwriters, a mediocre director, and mediocre actors. Above all, the direction suffered the most.
Not a bad movie or loss of time spent, just not as good as it could have been. Glad it wasn't too expensive. June 15, 2008

This movie is supposedly based on a true story. It's not the most believable movie I've ever seen but I still find it very enjoyable to watch nonetheless. March 20, 2008

I'm a sucker for time travel movies. Even bad ones will garner a little interest from me. One of the best ever made was THE PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT.

During an experiment in which the government is experimenting with ways to cloak a naval ship from radar, two guys are accidentally transported 41 years into the future - where the exact same experiment is still taking place.

What happened to those who remained back with the ship is even more disturbing and are images that I'll never forget.

I don't want to give up any more information, as I don't think it is necessary to give away any more plot points. It's an incredible story that I believe appeals to both men and women.

What is even more bizarre is that the experiment itself actually happened - and what is said to have really taken place may be equally hard to believe.

Of course, years later, THE PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT 2 was released losing all of the originality of its predecessor. March 5, 2008

The Philadelphia Experiment is not a well known classic Sci-Fi movie, but is an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. The basic story is of a World War II experiment to make a battleship invisible that goes wrong. Two sailors abandon ship during the experiment and are swept to the future (about the time the movie was made) where they try to figure out what happened, avoid the authorities who want to lock them up, and eventually find the mad scientist behind it all and try to save the world. There is a beautiful girl to add a romantic angle and all ends - well just see the movie. January 12, 2008
